Hanna Update

Fun time's over,time to get back to work eh.
Darn counts,I said to get back up there dangit.

More smoke's up for our little trooper.
 
Hanna went to clinic today for counts and vincristine. Her ANC is at 540. None of her chemo gets held unless her counts drop below 500. So, hopefully they start to turn around soon. She started steroids today and those will last five days. They make her miserable!! She had 17 pills all together to take today. She handles it well though! She goes back in two weeks for counts again.
 
I sure hope she doesn't have to do the chemo.
And 17 pills?Geez,I don't know how she does it,I don't think I could keep that many down.

Smoke's up for high counts & an end to all this leukemia crap.

She does chemo twice a day, her mom gives it to her, don`t know if it`s a pill or liquid, but it`s part of her maintenance. It`s only if her counts drop below 500 that she has to stop. The good part about only 5 days of steroids, is that`s not enough to make her lose her hair again.

My bad,I thought it was the chemo that caused the hair loss.
 
Tough little girl, John. Stinks that she has to go through this...
 
I can relate! she has a full head of hair though! that's something to smile about. more smoke and prayers sent her way!!!
 
I hope the cycle of steroids is short and does the trick. She's such a trooper, I'm sure pulling for her!
 
If any of you remember, before Hanna got sick she took dance classes, in fact a week before she was diagnosed with leukemia she had a recital. I`m very, very, happy to say that Hanna will be starting dance again in September!
 
Great news! I havnt contributed to this thread for a while but know we are still praying hard for her here in Indiana!

And I'll bet she's happy about that too.

A bit longer than a year & she'll be back at it,outstanding.:thumbup:

Awesome! she must be very happy about that. And, i am sure i am very happy for her. what great news. thanks John.
 
That is great news. Glad to see she will be able to do the things she was doing before.
