Just to explain the counts. I`m not sure what normal is, but I know if they are at least 500 she can do stuff like go to school, because the risk of catching something is low. Her counts this morning were 3600!!!

I would assume with leukemia it has to do with white blood cell counts.

According to web md, normal white blood cell counts are "Roughly between 4,500 and 10,000 cells per microliter (one one-thousandth of a milliliter)."

Awesome news!

I just saw my nephew who has been battling the exact same thing for the past three years. He is pretty much through the worst of it and doing great. He has also picked up my affection for sharp things and I gifted him a Gerber (USA made) that I had in my backpack. He loved it and I was so happy to give it to him.

There is light at the end of this tunnel and she is on her way there! Go Hanna!

Hanna goes to camp today, and comes home next Saturday. It`s only 7 miles from us, but nobody can visit her, or call, this week is all about the kids. Each child will have a trained medical person as their companion for the week. They have archery, paintball, a pool, and all kinds of stuff planned for the week, plus ice cream whenever they want! If I know Becky, she is out buying camouflage and night vision goggles, and will be parked at the church across the street!
