Hanna Update

John, thanks for the update. That little girl is never far from our thoughts and prayers here at the shop. I hope she continues to recover well.

very cool that they're going to give her the port that's been a "part" of her for the past 2 years.

It's always tough to see them like that in recovery.

My son was born last year at 29 weeks and spent the first three months of his life in the NICU. He was then diagnosed with hydrocephalus and had to have four brain surgeries and one throat surgery. He's doing well now, and has a VP shunt placed to help regulate his condition, but no matter how major or minor the procedure, it's always tough to see them sedated like that. I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it.

That's wonderful how good your son is doing now. He looks great!

The doctors are concerned that Hanna can`t keep any food down, they are going to keep monitoring her. It looks like she won`t come home today.

Back at the hospital visiting. Hanna is feeling better today, just needs to keep her food down .

Good deal - I hope she is feeling better in a hurry!

best

Here's to a speedy recovery for Hanna.

Squatch your son is adorable! Quite the handsome young lad.

Reminds me of when my son was cute and less of a PITA teenager!

Agreed on Hanna's good fortune to get home on a reasonable timeline.

And as far as my son goes, I'm trying to soak in the sweet years to balance out the inevitable sour ones :p

Good news all around.

Here's to a little less excitement for the next few year's. Hope her first boyfriend's as tough as she is. Wait until he meet's all the adopted uncles...

Fixed that for you!

When we took Hayley home on Saturday morning (she had been staying with us, Becky stayed at the hospital with Hanna) Hanna was helping Becky make French toast. By Sunday she was climbing stairs, she`s a tough one, can`t keep her down!

Glad to hear She's back home and all went well, keeping Hanna and you guys in my thoughts and prayers John.

When they replaced my knee in 06 I asked to keep the bone, when the doc asked me what for I told him I wanted to make a set of scales out of it. When I came to in recovery I asked him for the bone, he said he thought I was kidding and disposed of it with the medical waste :(. Next time I'm making sure they know I'm serious.

Last kidney stone I had was a 14mm calcium stone and they had to go in to get it, I asked for the stone when they got it out because I was gonna make a necklace, again they thought I was kidding.

Take care of that little girl, she has a lotta friends here, you ever show her the thread John?
