Mr Jackson had the great idea to utilize the goody box to benefit Hanna, which was a truly beautiful thing. This is just a functional extension of that idea. Many here have selflessly given to help Hanna, in deed, thought and prayer and here may be just another potential vehicle to do that same thing.

I am curious if we could start a box that would be only added to throughout its path and, when the box has completed its circuit, an auction would be held for it's contents, with the proceeds going to assist Hanna's family in her care?

Would this make sense?
 
Darn good idea,buuuuut...auctions aren't allowed for BF members & I believe John can only auction his own knives,not sure about that though.
Maybe just have a sale?

I am in however it gets done though.

That's the part I wasn't really sure about. I was originally thinking of a blind auction where those who bid wouldn't know what was in the box but it sounds like maybe it would just have to be an open sale.

sounds like a plan -- I'm in if it works.
a more simple plan might be to have everyone who wants to participate send you stuff to fill the box with -- would save on postage, anyway, then you or John could post up the pic of the box and start the auction or sale, whichever is allowed.

Makes sense, it would probably get pretty heavy!

Yeah, the last guy to mail it will be shipping a fridge!:D I'm in once the details are hammered out.
 
It can take him upwards of a week - he's a very busy fellow.
