Hap40 Dragonfly

Keep in mind that, if you can't find your clip, you can order a new clip from Spyderco. I know it sucks to have to buy a new clip for you new knife but....

Yes, thanks. I'm not griping about the clip coming off, it's my fault for not checking the screws. Had it happen with another knife, therefore I know better.
Carried and used it every day since I got it.
Just a reminder for those that know, and heads up for those that don't.

To the other(s), I have no intention of getting anything for free. Whatever the cost, no biggie.
The wire clip was the only thing missing, screw still there, but was loose of course.

They didn't really give a option.. I stated I bent my clip and would like to know how to get another one.
The reply was "what's your address, it will go out in the mail tomm"..

So.. That's the cost... Lol..
And it came with the screws.. They are a pre-bagged item. [emoji106]

If they won't accept payment, then so be it.
I'll contact them if I don't find it in the next few days.

Blade swapped to a G10, wasn't satisfied, swapped back.
Without changing lock bars there was blade rock and lock bar sat below the liners in open/close positions. changing the lock bar produced solid lock up, but bar still below the liners. Both lock bars sat proud on the orange frn in open/close positions with vg10 blade installed.
I think the lock notch is cut deeper on the hap blade.
I could flush everything up with files and stones, maybe another time.

Also, the g10 spring is longer and stouter than the frn one.

jpm2.. I found the same thing with the Hap swap on the DF2.
But I'll deal with it.. It's only in, a hair.
I have other plans for the scales. Like a H1 serrated blade and a neck sheath, for fixed carry..

Anywho.. The Endura G10 sits closest to flush. Only stickying out enough that you can barely tell/see.
The G10 Delica sticks out a hair.

All 3 had to swap the lock bars with the blades.
I do like the contrast it makes. As the G10 model's are polished down the spine and the FRN are finished, from side to side..

@winnerone
I'll eventually do a permanent swap and tune everything up on the df, same with the delica if I find a g10 reasonable. I like the thicker width, heft, rigidity, and smooth washers on the g10 ones.
The endura I might leave alone, as due to its size, benefits the most from a light weight handle, but we'll see.

H1 df fixed carry sounds interesting.

I'll run the Stretch, when light weight is a thought..

I couldn't agree more! The all around girth and smoothness of the G10 DF2, Delica, and Endura are a plus!
I thought about smoothing up the lock bars, to blend in to the liner's and scales, but I still kinda like how they are.. Lol.. More so then if I mess them up! :(

I have a small thing for the Foliage line up.. And OD green..

Picked this up the other day. I'm on the search for a fresher blade tho.. Maybe a SB or Hap.. But I'll settle for a ZDP or VG..

Wait a minute.. Why's a screw in the landyard hole? :)

Yep, that's where the clip is going from the Hap DF2 blade swap/"fixed blade"..

Just got done with it, actually..

Waiting on some OD green scales, for my Native 5 CF/s110v. Which will have the slots for a wire clip, as well..

As for the scales, I ordered a serrated H1, earlier today.. (I'm not a fan of yellow)..
I'm waiting on a custom sheath, from C4 industries..
It will most likely be carrying the DF2, in a open position, behind my back. Horizontal, on my belt.. (Rotate place of my minimalist and HAK)

It's swimming/hiking season.. Time to get ready! Lol..

Got mine over the weekend. Cut myself yesterday, barley touched my thumb. It's a sharp little bastid :p

I have two new HAP40 Dragonflys in the mail right now. Should be here tomorrow I hope.
