Happy Belated Birthday Munk!

50? 50! You're just a kid! I wouldn't go back though.....That was about the time of 'stents' and 'bypasses" and such. Yeeesh! Happy Birthday!

:p Sorry munk, couldn't resist. Hope it was a good one, and as everyone said it's just a number. My Dad had his 50th last summer and you wouldn't know it to look at him. On his birthday he ended up joining my brother, a few of our college-age friends and me in our efforts to drain the keg from his surprise party. We didn't quite pull it off, but he is now known as "The Coolest Dad EVER" or "Man I Wish My Dad Were That Cool" to all of our friends. Not to say that draining kegs with your kids is the only way to attain that status, but just to show that you don't have to turn in all of your cool points at some set age. Don't let a silly number make you feel old.

Munk, happy birthday! You've been an absolutely great guy in all of my experience with you, and I am happy to be around here with you. You'll always be one of the good guys in my book.

50 is strange. My wife gave me a card with a picture of a baby having a tantrum, and the words; 'get over it'. Yangdu told me it's just a number.

My Neice called me. My sister called me. My 17 year old nephew just decided he was mentally superior to everyone. God, how my sister and I laughed when we remembered how I was at his age.... He'll get over it, once he starts looking around and realizes how much talent God left in everyone.

I remember when I was 17 and how stupid everyone else was! I was amazed at how smart they got when I turned 20.

Reminds me of a saying, "If you are not a Liberal when you are 30 you don't have a heart, if you are not a Conservative when you are 40, you don't have a brain."

munk,

I am gonna tell you a secret. They take the rock off when you turn 50! I predict you will sense a new freedom. Don't know why, but it will or has already happened to you.

I find that even though the body has a few creaks, and maybe I land in the middle of the creek where I used to jump over it, but there are some definite benefits to getting older. For one thing you give a sh*t less what other people say.

I look forward to knowing you when you are 60 -- 70 -- 80 and beyond!
