Now that the weather is getting nicer here in PA I've been listening to this regularly. Picked the 3lp album up at the local record shop yesterday for 10 bucks in flawless condition. Very hyped on that.

Man Joe, I saw Los Lonley Boys once Live here in Texas and they almost Played all night! Amazing Concert! Very Underated!
 
Today would have been my dad's birthday. I've alternated between having fond memories that put a smile on my face, sobbing as I think of how much I miss him, and wanting to punch a wall. Lots of ups and downs, but in the end I rest in the knowledge that I will see him again.

This song has always been very emotional for me, even though there are no words. The crescendos and diminuendos bring me to tears. Very fitting for today.

My father is my best friend and I don't know how I'm gonna behave when he passes. I've posted a few of my fathers favorites in this thread. Here's one of my father's favorite Van Morrison songs. I remember this song being played as far back as I can remember. This song is very special to my father and I. We still sing pieces of it together when it comes up on our playlists. I'll play this song at my fathers wake and my wife knows I want it played at mine. It's a bit trippy but it's special to my father and I.

Thurin, I don't understand your particular circumstance or your relationship with your father, but I can definitely relate to the sentiment. Reading your post and listening to the song you posted drudged up my own memories, and this is all I could think of.

On a lighter note, I'll be seeing the dead in Chicago for the "Fare thee well" show. I'm not sure what will come of the trip but it's sure to be a good time.

I just can't get past this guy, he seems a lot bigger in Europe than in the US for some reason
