Hard to beat the Buck 110 as an all around folder.

I could write a big long love letter to the Buck 110s and 112s, but I have said those things in other threads so won't do so here. I will say that when I was younger, I had a Buck 110 as a belt knife while I was in the Boy Scouts and loved them, among others. When I moved to an office job after college, I understood that a belt knife wasn't going to be ideal so I moved on to countless other folders. Recently, I obtained a few different slips that allow me to carry a Buck 110 or 112 in my pocket and since then I haven't been without one. That, combined with the countless neat special editions Buck has put out in the last couple of years (many of them with Magnacut blades), I carry a 110 or 112 every day. On days when I post a pic in the EDC thread, even if I don't post it up, it's in my pocket. There aren't many knives that cut as well (in my use and experience) as a 110, and I just can't say enough good things about them.

I love and enjoy plenty of other knives in my EDC rotations, but there's always a Buck in my pocket these days as well.
I can't believe that some people actually carry a Buck 110 or 112 every day. Sheesh!:)

I enjoy my 110s, but I seldom carry them. This thread needs more pictures.

I love the 110. I’m just getting back into carrying one. I use to carry one everyday until around 10 years ago when I started ccw. Now though I’ve just moved the 110 to my weak side. Still not carrying it everyday but more than I use to. IMG_0445.jpegIMG_0455.jpeg

here is another from the custom shop. This time in S30V steel. I wish Buck would offer a 112 with the drop point blade.

they're gonna do some in the custom section soon, we keep hearing.

BTW, anybody knows where I can find the new 110 Auto in Magnacut outside of Buck's website (who don't ship across statelines) ?
they used to not do that, certain states amd Canada they won't. they'll ship to Florida as I bought some autos from the factory store
regardless they are out of stock on it right now anyways.

Sure thing. All I need is an address and I'll get it in the mail first of the week. It's just taking up room in a box right now.
You can get them from Buck, and I've found both nylon and leather sheaths for the 110 at my local brick & mortar knife outlet. There are also lots of custom sheaths available for the 110. A good knife deserves a good sheath.

Very hot take, many knives can do the same all around job like Buck 110, even back in the time. It is not hard to beat at all.

I don't think working men and tradesmen are/were steel snob, and weight ratio had a better value perception back then. That mass brass bolster and liner help a lot! Nostalgia and reputation help it in modern time. There are other American made lock back knives as good if not better that tried to break in the market, but unsuccessful because they couldn't compete against nostalgia.

Cold take, I like the 110LT and carry it on my field belt, because I don't mind giving it to non knife people.

Mannlicher,

Good morning. Can I email you my info?

Thank you
evidently I can't send or receive private messages. Something about not being a paid member? I am reluctant to post my email on an open post, so it looks like I won't be able to send you the sheath. Damn shame.

Ive had terrible luck with the 110, bought many and mainly front and back (horizontal) play in the locked position where the knife shifts forward and backwards, redundant statement im aware but wish to eliminate any confusion--- but I know better than to raise a pitchfork to the brand, I guess i just suck. Between the two id go with 112, better for my needs and seems to carry easier
