Yea i guess your right. Here at school we bash on the Army ROTC guys like its a sport. Im use to takin my fair share of crap from the navy guys as well. My favorite joke about the Navy is:

Just playin thought. Thanks for the props on getting into the Academy. It was a long a tough journey but has paid off.

Lockheed - congrats on the academy appointment, and good luck. It ain't no little thing to get there. There are a lot of folks behind you who wanted to be where you are.

Regarding a knife at Basic, or OCS, don't take one. Wait 'til after graduation, then buy one. Anything like a knife will be taken away, and you'll probably not see it again.
