Quick! What's the first model that came to your mind?
What feature(s) make it stand out from the rest?

An advanced thank you for helping me with my knife browsing.
:p

Thanks for your posts, folks. They will definitely help me out.
To make this more constructive, I added a second question.

As you can see from this thread, a ton of Spydercos can withstand serious use... heck, my Delica 4 has gone through some pretty rough use for a knife that size.

Throwing up a different option, the Tenacious because it is so cheap that most people don't mind it being a beater... Steel liners, G-10 and gimping give it pretty much everything I want in a hard use knife anyway.

Another option, Gayle Bradley because of the M4 steel and its price point for what you get. Another thing to consider is what you consider hard use. A Ladybug or Dragonfly in ZPD-189 steel maybe your perfect had use knife because of the steel.

My first question: What do YOU define as hard use?

I left it vague so as to see the spectrum of what people considered a hard use knife. If I mentioned hard use in the role as a first responder, this thread might start leaning toward a lot of rescue-type knives. Instead, I prefer people throw a large array for consideration, and I or any interested reader (with his or her own different definition of hard use) can discern from there.

Here is a well used/abused delica in zdp189.
Still doing its job :D
As for your question, IMO, almost any spyderco can withstand some serious use.

That is a good point and your picture sure is a testament to that. I just want to push people to single out the top of their list. I figure the top of someone's list is always worth looking at.
