Hard Use Spyderco

Here is a well used/abused delica in zdp189.
Still doing its job :D
As for your question, IMO, almost any spyderco can withstand some serious use.

Is it the angle, or are you missing some blade length? Looks like your Delica has been sharpened so much it is almost a stub!

the tip has been broken, and it has been sharpened quite a lot, not by me, but the person i've gifted this delica to.
and by sharpening equipment i mean blocks of cement or whatever rocks he could find...this knife has been so abused...and used for more than cutting.

I was just about to make a snarky comment about what grit concrete you finish the blade with, but you beat me to it. :D

Well used. I like it:thumbup:

I'd definitely go for the Tenacious/Resilience. They're tough and can stand up to many tasks. Also, they are very cheap so even if you break it with "hard use", you can always get another without burning a hole in your wallet.

A hard use knife is a fixed blade IMO. If I had to use a folding knife hard, I'd choose a saber ground Endura or a Gayle Bradley.

I use this bad boy to cut drywall when I can't find my utility knife - its held up fairly well
Thought I accidentally busted off the clip, with VERY LITTLE effort

spyderco is all about cutting and slicing. so a "hard use" spyderco is one with a suitable edge and steel type in a standard model. expecting to cut a lot of rope, nylon, and "animated objects"? get full serrated. lots of slicing and little time for sharpening? get one in zdp 189 or m4 or m390.

btw, my designated hard use spydey is the endura plain edge in zdp 189. still in transit. :(

The very first Spyderco collaboration knife done with Bob Terzuola the C15 also it was the first USA made Spyderco IIRC, this knife screamed to be used hard as an EDC/Work knife and mine was and still is used hard.

I can't find a pic to pirate so I'll have to take one of mine, the C15 and the original Worker which I also have was another hard use EDC from Spyderco.
