Joined a month ago and trying to off load knives you don’t know much about, for top dollar? Smells kind of fishy bud.

Isn’t DLC shiny?

This kind of confuses me because Spyderco's DLC isn't shiny, but it's PVD - which is a form of DLC (pretty sure).
I think the community as a whole needs to explain these better.. I'm guessing these are like black spyderco blades. PVD.

There are a couple ways of knowing they aren’t DLC. Once MT finishes in DLC they only sharpen the blade, not the serrations. And they don’t do the final face grinds that reveal the metal under neath. Also. All DLC knives are considered signature series and would come in silver boxes.

DLC can look glossy or matte, but microtechs is almost always glossy, especially from these dates. These are cerakote.

Thanks for the clarification. I purchased the knife as a DLC model and listed it accordingly. I am currently verifying the exact finish and generation against the original box label and paperwork.

If I have incorrectly identified the finish or generation, I will update the listing to accurately reflect the knife.

Appreciate the input.
