Im curious to know what you guys think it is? Price considered size the way it carries how sharp it gets and stays how easy it is to maintain how good the materials and hardware are. What is the absolute hardest knife to beat in its class weather it be 20$ or 500$. So far from what i have seen and done my fiances spyderco cat g10 is really hard to beat for a small edc sheeple friendly blade.

Holy run on sentence batman! :p

I'd say SAKs and Mora's are hard to beat. In fact they beat a lot of knives that are more expensive.

Lol sorry about that I'm waiting at mcd for some of the people i work with to get their food and decided to go for a quicky while i was on wifi on my phone.

For some reason I really just like Microtechs, at least the Socom Elite which would be the knife I choose, even though for $500 you can get some nice knives like the HTM Gunhammer and many other semi-custom/midtech knives.

Just poking fun. I've written some doozies on smart phones.

I've got Spyderco, Kershaw, Emerson, and Chris Reeve in medium sizes (3" to 4" blades) for daily carry, a few smaller including SAKs and other slipjoints to add to the fun. Since I usually carry a bag of some sort, a multitool will ride along.

It's hard for most of us to pick a favorite since we're always looking for the latest & greatest. :)

I'd say the ZT 0200. 154-CM, 3D machined G10, milled liners, flipper/thumb-studs, 4" blade, under $140, what a BEAST!

For me its my small sebenza inlay.

Ive handled a lot of knives that wouldn't replace it.

my buddy has a cheap rat folder he got for 30 bucks and its quite decent.

SAKs for sure, the bang for the buck is just outstanding. They could charge more and I would still buy!

Victorinox.

Depending on how small you like your knives to be, I say a Spyderco Caly3 CF/ZDP. I got mine yesterday and it's awesome. Carries like a feather, it's small and compact, the carbon fiber handles are aesthetically pleasing and the ZDP-189 blade is stupid sharp out of box. I'm talking hair-whitllin' sharp. And it can be had for a great price depending on where you look, PM or email me for details ;)

The only gripe I have with it is that the line between the ZDP and the 420J2 (the blade is composite, two steels one blade) looks kind of wavy and sloppy. But not all Caly's are like that, I just managed to get unlucky.

Here's a terrible pic of what i'm talking about:

Anyway, if you're not OCD like me then you should be fine. It truly is an excellent piece of pocket cutlery. :)

The one knife/brand that stands out in my mind is Victorinox. I cannot think of any other knife out there that offers as much value as an SAK does. Best of all, you can give someone who HATES knives an SAK and they will find a way to love it. That's something I cannot say about any other knife.

William Henry B-12 TERRAIN with Linen Micarta Scales, Titanium bolsters/frame, and ZDP-189 blade.

Ontario SP 50,51,52,53
10 inch long, 1/4 inch thick, nearly indestructible 5160 blade.
Comfy handle, nice sheath, under eighty bucks.

I'd have to agree with the people who say Victorinox. The only thing they lack is a customization department where you can order knives with any combination of tools you like.
