Hardwood Chairs vs MOAB

We had a couple of old hardwood chairs we needed to get rid of. Instead of just taking them to the rubbish dump, I thought I could get them into the regular bin if I turned them into matchsticks with my MOAB. Gosh what fun!!!!

Two whacks on the back and I'm right through. I must point out, this wood is extremely hard, the knife bit right through without much effort...

Chair no. 2. I tried to get the knife right through in one hit...

After 3 goes it went right through. I swung as hard as I could.

See...this is how it starts, some wood, a couple of old chairs... Next thing ya know, you'll be hackin' up the bed, and eyeing the walls, MOAB in hand! I used to have furniture, but after discovering Busse knives, I now sit on the floor, eat on the floor, sleep on the floor...hell, right now, I'm typing this sitting on carpet!!

BE CAREFUL, or soon you'll be like me... I once lived in a mansion on the edge of a national forest. Now I live in a one-room (left) shack on the edge of a treeless wasteland!! Shhhhh...don't tell anyone about the trees! :foot:;)

OK, just playin' around... Nice pix!! Those dangerous chairs never saw it coming, did they???! :D:D:D :thumbup:

Seeing what that thing can do to a chair makes me wonder what the max diameter tree it would go through in a single swing. All about the angle you come down on the target at. What do you think? 3 inches? no it's gotta be 5. Hell maybe even 8 or so. I bet it would be impressive.

Mate I dunno. I do want to try it though. I guess it would depend on the tree species, hardwood etc., how green it is, the list goes on. After swininging it at these hardwood chairs, I reckon it would bite in a fair way. A softish small 3 or 4 inch tree would fall in one swing, easy.
 
those MOABs are one of the niicer looking "big blades" around.

wish i could afford one.

Nice. Good to see you are using it proper.

Watch your tootsies and your shins swinging it with force for sure. If you blast trough a target, don't want a shin full-O-Infi!

Would remove a leg or arm with a good miss. Might also want to slip a forward lanyard through the front rivet hole!

The MOAB I held (snakeskin satin version) felt way better in the hand than I expected!

Now that you ruined it and wore it out, just send that junk on my way!
 
Those looked like nice chairs, why were they going in the trash? Repaint and donate! Those looked about 1000 times studier than most crap you can buy here!
