Hardwood Chairs vs MOAB

Impressive chopping depth on some of those pic's for a 90 degree "contact" .....

If you had put the chair top at 45 degrees .... say by leaning it against the wall and then chopped down wards ....with the grain in your favour .... I reckon it would have gone through in one chop no problem ....

A MOAB v TTKZ chop off would be cool ....

Sweet action there Rob:thumbup:

yeah the MOAB is one helluva chopper. I don't know how thick a tree you can chop in one blow but I know it makes BIG chips...

Cool Pics Rob, you finally found out that well....wood is alittle harder than that cheese your always eating. That Moab is a beast though! Those POOR Little chairs did'nt stand a chance. :D:thumbup: Thanks for sharing,

Nice Knife! Gotta love the MOAB. I think that I need one of those!

Nice Rob. I still say we need T-shirts: M.U.G (MOAB User's Group):) It is a heck of a lot of fun, ain't it? I balked at the price of the MOAB until I held it at Blade. Amazing how well it balances for a 14" bladed .40" hunk o' INFI. She still puts a smile on my face every time I pick her up.

I had to do something similar to plastic Adirondack chairs a while back. If you think INFI flies through wood, you should see what it does to plastic. I'm still finding bits of pink & tan resin every time I mow or after a good rain:) Used the .27 FBM, as I didn't think they were MOAB worthy...

Yes the knife is very well designed as far as balance goes for such a huge chunk of steel. I tell you, when you swing it though, you can REALLY feel the intertia it creates, I pity the poor target it's aimed at :D

This knife is certainly a "No Regrets" blade. I honestly think that if you're fortunate enough (or silly enough ;) )to own one, you'd be stupid not to use it. I'm keen to try it out on some hard firewood logs as a splitting tool.

Life is way too short to have safe queens like this. I don't want to get to 90 years old and think "Gees what would the MOAB be like to use?" and I can't, because it's too heavy to pick up :D And then I die.

Man, if I get time, I'll do a little graphic for M.U.G. too.

Those looked like nice chairs, why were they going in the trash? Repaint and donate! Those looked about 1000 times studier than most crap you can buy here!

That's what I was thinking. With a coat of paint and dry storage those chairs would have lasted at least 10-20 years.

All I can think of is, "There can be only one." Forget your average Kukri, this sucker could chop thru 3 guys in one swing.

And LOL@Jaxx.

Poor Chair:(:(..............

Never had a chance:eek::eek::D

I am gonna have to get my MOAB out tonight and scare the neighbors

 Oh no... I forgot to warn you about this at BLADE, Rob! :o

See...this is how it starts, some wood, a couple of old chairs... Next thing ya know, you'll be hackin' up the bed, and eyeing the walls, MOAB in hand! I used to have furniture, but after discovering Busse knives, I now sit on the floor, eat on the floor, sleep on the floor...hell, right now, I'm typing this sitting on carpet!!

BE CAREFUL, or soon you'll be like me... I once lived in a mansion on the edge of a national forest. Now I live in a one-room (left) shack on the edge of a treeless wasteland!! Shhhhh...don't tell anyone about the trees! :foot:;)

OK, just playin' around... Nice pix!! Those dangerous chairs never saw it coming, did they???! :D:D:D

thanks right son...that is why there are deserts in the world:p
