I purchased this piece from Butch back in April. I really wanted to test out some Carpenter XHP steel before buying a bunch so I needed a knife with a sweet grind at a reasonable price, so buying this from Butch was a no-brainer. This is a working knife and is expertly finished. Im sure it would do fine in the field as well as the kitchen. The grind and distal taper is awesome. The handle is a home made micarta, very pretty and durable. I am gonna let this one go and hopefully get a full size chef from Butch in the future. This photo is when I originally bought the knife. It has light patina on it now. The XHP is a top notch steel that is semi stainless, just a touch reactive but wont rust very easily. Id say this steel is easy to care for. I am asking SPF shipped CONUS, thats a little discount from what I payed. I think this knife would be great to carry with kydex or leather, but i dont have a sheath for it. Ill take paypal or a money order/personal check.
If you have any other questions please ask.
