I paid for a knife from BladeBandits.com aka Charles Vickery on September 5, 2012. The knife was suppose to have been in stock. But after I paid I was told that they had just sold out but that they would have more in the following week.

After about two months of this I requested that my money be refunded and I would purchase the knife elsewhere.

They have not refunded my money and now I learn that PayPal will not allow me to dispute the payment after 45 days.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or has anyone any suggestions.

We apologize Tom and will give you the refund immediately. We have done over 1500 orders this year and the para's are the only item still on backorder!

The para military's are out of stock everywhere, we tried 4 distributors and all are out, we have 12 sold other than yours and clients are waiting on them! We managed to pick a few up this week from a local dealer and they are shipping!

I actually let Blade Bandits know about this thread (I found it when I was searching to see if anyone else had issues). I ordered a Microtech Ultra Tech Zombie OTF (called in person to verify it was in stock) on November 1st and as of right now, my order status on Blade Bandits website still shows "Pending", I have no knife and he still refuses to give me a shipped-date or delivery confirmation (it was supposedly shipped via US Priority Mail with delivery confirmation).

I'm currently waiting for either proof that my knife was shipped (with a shipped-date and tracking information), or a refund. I've given him every possible chance to make this right but as of tomorrow, If my money is not returned (or a shipped-date / delivery confirmation number given) I'm going to dispute the charges with my credit card company, report him to the better business bureau, and post up the email proof on this and several other forums. I've told him repeatedly that I don't even care that it's taking this long, I just want some proof that he shipped it (he claims he did, yet can't provide a date or tracking info).

He now claims his merchant account attempted to call me this morning to "verify my credit card information" so that I could get a refund. I have no missed calls on my cell and knowing a thing or two about the online retail and e-commerce industry I know that he has to have access to a transaction or order ID number that he can reference to authorize a refund to my credit card.

Every single question I've asked has been dodged including: when my knife was shipped, what phone number the "merchant account" attempted to call, why the merchant account even needs to call and get my credit card information yet again, what is the delivery confirmation number.

I've since found the knife locally and purchased it (several days ago) and will not be doing business with Blade Bandits anytime in the foreseeable future.

Disputed the charge today. He claimed that he refunded my money on Sunday (and that it should take 48hrs to post to my account). I gave an extra day just in case, but I've given all the leeway I can at this point.

I will definitely not shop at Blade Bandits ever again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Good customer service is the life blood of any company, without it things look grim. I always stick the few online stores I've done business with successfully in the past. I'm all for helping a company by shopping with them, but things like this really leave a wide spread sour taste in everyone's mouth. No thanks.

Just to chime in, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles Tom and EZ but my personal experience has been good with them. Any in stock item I ordered was sent quickly and packaged well. I guess the "just went out of stock" or "unknown shipping proof" situation is where things like communication are breaking down. I hope it works out for everyone involved. Good communication from retail customer service is key though.

Update:

I've still had no response from Blade Bandits other than "I'll fix this" or "I'll call you" (with no calls and it is still not fixed). I actually emailed them again attempting to find something out about my refund after I had filled out the form to dispute via the credit card company (I honestly didn't want to get a refund at the same time my CC company disputed the charges). Same response as above.

No money credited to my account from them and no knife/tracking info. I disputed the transaction and my credit card company is taking care of me.

Lesson learned. Stick with the companies that provide good customer service (not just when things go well, but when things go badly).

I too am having the same problems with Blade Bandits...

Ordered a Microtech ZombieTech on the 8th...

I placed the order over the phone... Was told he didn't have it in stock THEN... But that they would be in the next day and that if I wanted it I should go ahead and purchase. So I did...

Finally got tired of waiting for an update and contacted them on the 14th...

Was told they were swamped and hadn't gotten to ship yet but that it would leave the next day... (The 15th)

Contacted them again on the 16th after recieving no update...

Was told it would ship "Today"... (The 16th)

Contacted them AGAIN on the 20th because there had been no update... Recieved this in response...

"I apologize David, I had an issue with a couple of the Zombie Tech's with the Blade Sticking too far out when you retract the blade, you could touch the top of the handle, it would cut you!

I reordered 4 more of every zombie tech and they will be shipping this week, you have my word as soon as I get my box in, ill expedite your Ultratech!

If you feel you need to speak with me personally, just give the office a ring.

I Apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."

Why the guy is opening and checking new inventory is beyond me... Maybe he's just anal like that... So FINE AGAIN... I'll wait some more.

Later that day I get an automated response that the order had been "Delivered"... With a note stating "Shipped today USPS Priority Mail!".

Sent another E-mail on the 23rd asking for tracking info...

Got the response that he was out of town till Monday... But would update me then.

Today is Tuesday... Still no update.

Just sent another E-mail.... If he can't produce a tracking number or comes up with some sort of "Ohhh! It was returned to me for insufficient postage..." or other BS excuse I'm going to call the credit card company and dispute the charge.

So... At this point... I cannot recommend doing ANY business with this company.

Just curious if anyone has purchased any knives from Blade Bandits? I bought one still waiting to see it. I am begining to think I made a mistake?

I bought from them once. They shipped it first class in a padded envelope. It was a $100+ knife. The box was ruined. The knife was fine, but I won't be buying from them again.

Damn, I didn't need to read this thread, as I too order Ultratech. Mine qas marked delivered on order staus & still No knife. How in hell can it go from not shipped to delivered in 2 hrs ? I am give him a couple more days & then I need to do something too. My situation is a bit different as I mailed him a check & had to wait 2 weeks for it clear evn though it came back to my bank 1 week. I should have known something was up ..I see him Facebook everyday almost talking up his Best prices & how he sold 34 Zombie-tech on Black Friday..

Lol, the name should tell you enough, "Blade BANDITS?" Lol, reminds me of a time in high school my buddy ordered $1000 turn tables on ebay from a guy named "Damein Crook"

I was going to start a thread on this tomorow, ive seen i got beat to the punch. Well, you guys will love this story. i bought a knife on august 31st, never got it. for 3 months ive been going back & forth, emails,i was told so many stories of what happened to the knife, i asked for a refund, said check was sent priority, never arrived, i asked for a different knife, still couldnt get it. no more return calls or emails. this is since aug 31st. i just got off the phone with ebay mastercard, it is now being disputed.i warn anyone on here if you want to send money to a place & not recieve it, then place an order with this company. this is the worst online transaction i have ever had since being online period.

Our company is called bladebandits because we are in Tampa and our football team is pirate themed! Our storefront is opening soon and will have a pirate theme.

Microtechs are delayed as we are waiting on a large shipment of the zombie Ultratechs and the standard microtechs.

We have done over 50 mictotech orders the past month and most have shipped and landed!

If you have not received your knife I urge you too call in and email me today and will get on it.

I will give a refund if you do not want to wait for the shipment to come in!

We are in this for the long run and want all of our customers happy!

Well you said mine shipped last week , so how long does it take to receive it? Why not a tracking # ? On your site the knife showed Deilvered? How can it show delivered min.'s after you marked it shipped?

Lastely, I give you props, because you must be the only Dealer MT has that can order Sold out Zombietech's ..
