Has Anyone else had problems with "Blade Bandits" or Charles Vickery out of Tampa Fl.

I ordered a Microtech OTF Zombie on Thursday Oct 25. I was emailed that day from Andrew vp sales who said they had just sold out of stock that day and would ship my order the following week. The order was shipped 11 days after on Monday and I received the knife Thursday exactly 14 days from placing the order. Overall I was happy with the purchase. I dont know if they truly sold out that day as he said but im happy with 14 days; especially being I was on preorder with bladehq for two weeks before seeing this for $25 less so I called and canceled and tried bladebandits for the first time. Im considering doing business with them again. He doesn't have a huge selection but his prices are a bit lower.

Hmmm. It's your first post on BF and you're leaving the ONLY positive feedback in a thread about a dodgy online company. You also get in a "dig" at one of Blade Bandits competitors.

i would have to agree. Would be interesting for an admin to check the ip's on those posts.

(tomswango) call the credit card company that you use for your paypal account & put in a grievance. if you paid with cash that was in the account, that could be a problem. As far as them having lower prices, id rather pay a little more & actually get the item.

Let's see a gold member say something good! His selection is unbelievable. He has microtechs that literally nobody else has. I emailed him asking if he had and socom elites with cts-204p. He said he did so and to call him with my cc info. I asked him the specifics of the model ie blade finish, serrations, handle color and he just never emailed me back? Maybe he is on the up and up but this is certainly a poor start

He just posted on his facebook page a message stating...He has 50 MT's coming in next day or so, and that everyone who has been waiting for their MTs will have them this week! WOW, I guess when he told me last week that mine shipped on 28th he may have been lying?

What a tool.

Well of course his prices are lower on Microtechs, silly! He steals some of our pictures. Less overhead and then he can pass the savings onto you! The bandits strike again!

They also have a "sprint run spyderco tuff in cpms30v steel" on their website :D Really? and you wanna be dealers?Really, change your name to butt bandits cuz your screwing folks all over the place.

Ill tell you one thing, i feel sorry for the person who sends him 999.00 for that Gallager custom thats on there;that will be a bad day for someone......

Bladebandits,

I don't know how knife dealers work but selling knives that you actually don't have in stock seems a sketchy way to run a business. But besides that, if you are truly in this for the long haul then you need to start setting up some SOPs that make customer satisfaction your number one priority. Someone needs to respond to e-mails within 24 hours. If you have knives in stock you need to be able to ship them within a day or two, like Blade HQ does. I think plenty of people are willing to pay a little extra for the reliable quick service from a company like Blade HQ. Your reputation would probably improve greatly if you just prevented people from ordering knives that are out of stock, like most on-line sellers do.

We apologize Tom and will give you the refund immediately. We have done over 1500 orders this year and the para's are the only item still on backorder!

The para military's are out of stock everywhere, we tried 4 distributors and all are out, we have 12 sold other than yours and clients are waiting on them! We managed to pick a few up this week from a local dealer and they are shipping!

Today is December 6, 2012 and I still have not received a refund. Would it be fair to say that your actions belie you words or would you like me to believe that the check must have been lost in the mail?

I went ahead and disputed the charge last week.

I have to say once again... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BLADE BANDITS!

There is also a thread going on ARFCOM for you fellow ARFCOMers if you feel like checking it out...

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_4/384456_Anybody_buy_from_Blade_Bandits_.html

I plan to find time to post my news on other blade forums as well.

Thanks for everybodies time... Now I guess I'll look for a Zombietech from some other company such as Blade HQ.

I sent him a warning yesterday hoping that would prompt him to respond to this thread.

Imagine how many people we dont know about that are placing orders & not getting their product? it can be dozens or hundreds, thats a lot of money being stolen.....

Not to turn this into a BladeHQ love-fest, but I cancelled my pre-order and lost $5 from BladeHQ (because BladeBandits price was $25 cheaper) and BHQ got them in-stock while I was disputing my claim with BladeBandits. I absolutely should have just waited and went with old-faithful - BHQ hasn't let me down yet.

BTW, I never got a refund from Blade Bandits (my CC dispute went through) despite my emailing him several times and his constantly telling me he would call me the next day (never happened).

Lesson learned.
