Has anyone ever used corion as a handle material?

Corian is pretty slick when wet, especially if it's buffed. If you look at my previous post, you'll see my thumb print on the bolster and bits of wax here and there. I buffed the the bolsters and handle with butcher's wax which sealed the Corian and made it grippy. Although it's not a permanent solution. The knife was cleaned up better than in the pics after the pictures were taken.
I also tried texturing the scales on another knife, like pickbone. Although it was more grippy, I really don't like pickbone.....so I trashed them.

I have a friend who had a new Corian counter top put in with a new kitchen. I had the fabricator save me the sink cut-out and I made my buddy a carving set with that Corian which matches his counter top!
He was thrilled!

Whenever I've asked established knifemakers about using it wholescale on handles, they've all said they wouldn't want to due to the brittleness and proneness to cracking when subjected to impact.

Although I must say that Dan Koster has used it to gorgeous effect as decorative elements/spacers/washers.
