Has anyone seen this????? Benchmade 810 Contego

I held one yesterday and was impressed with action, construction, and finish. G-10 handle had great sculpting. Only downside for me is that the handle seemed too large for my relatively small hands.

I hope one of my dealers get a P/E in soon. I have a few of the non serrated on order. I'm grabbing a Glock pistol next, then a Satin Fehrman Final Judgment. Go figure.

I think this may be my first benchmade, if I can get the Ritter Grip out of my head...

Just waiting for the PE version.

Is the glassbreaker positioned so that it's out of the way when being carried, or is it going to snag on stuff as it sticks out of your pocket?

Oh wow, I'm glad that the new hardness got brought to my attention by this thread. Looks like this might be my first BM purchase since my last one a couple of years ago.

These are my thoughts exactly. Spyderco has been taking a lot of my money lately. Blade dimensions and shapes that enhance efficient cutting performance, modern steels and good heat treatments have all earned my patronage of late. I've long been a fan of the axis lock, however, and if it turns out that Benchmade is going to be paying close attention to the heat treating of their premium steels, then their folders are going to quickly reenter my consideration set.
