Has anyone submitted an idea to Victorinox before?

Victorinox has a page for people to submit ideas for new products. I think that it is pretty cool. If I were a betting man, I'd say folks on this forum have done that before. Did they use your idea?

I just submitted an idea for them to add a reamer/awl to the Walker. It would have blade, saw, combo tool, and reamer. That would make it an awesome small bushcraft SAK. If they made that, it would go straight in my pocket and never leave.

There was a drive a while back that we all filled out the request on their website for a Cadet X. I've done it at least twice. Don't know if anyone at Victorinox even reads it, but theres still no cadet X. I've suggested many, MANY times that they bring back the hollow rivet on the pioneer and put the keyring back on the alox bantam.

Is it not a thread like this already?
My guess is that Victorinox is not looking for different tool setup´s, but something inovative they have not thought of themselfs.
From what I have read before, non of the suggestions made to Victorinox have come to realisation yet

I think they read it. They probably get hundreds of submissions a year, and they rarely find one that tickles their fancy. Now that you mention adding scissors to alox, Bantam X sounds pretty awesome.

Maybe it´s time to become a "SAK-builder"? ;)

They need to make a custom order page so you can build your own sak on the site in whatever configuration you want. Then they assemble and ship it.
I suppose that would cost 3-4x a normal knife, since they do such a great job of selling in volume at lower costs. Maybe the sticker shock would deter most folks.

No doubt it would cost more but how many makers have a custom shop? Seems the demand is there in most cases. I know I'd be in for a simple set of tools at twice the price without hesitation if I got to pick them and the order. Then get to pick handle material and pattern. $100 for a 6 tool with micarta scales. Nobody would bat an eyelash at that.

Plenty of custom SAK builders these days, you can get anything you want. I am partial to the titanium scales with a titanium pocket clip and a Spyderco dragonfly blade on a farmer model. It can get pricy but nobody here has anything to say about that.

They have a custom shop. You can get whatever you want printed on the scales of a standard model.

They make (and sell) 10,000 knives a day. Every tool is matched to a specific end of a specific spring. My guess is 90% of people who want something they don't make, want something that would require new tooling to make. That isn't going to come cheap. Disrupting their processes isn't going to come cheap. Are you up for a thousand dollar SAK?

That's

That's basically the Farmer or Camper though, right? Or did you specifically want the 84mm version?
