Has Boker Ever Made A Good Knife

Just got a Boker Plus Zero (Anso design) this weekend and it's great. Fit and finish is pretty spot on for a sub-$60 knife.

Recently got pry mini 199 pieces limited run and I have to say it's superb in quality. The sheath is top notch too, and I cannot say that from most of the factory made kydex I have experienced from any maker.

I've had this Boker red bone pen for nearly 20 years. Carried it daily for about 10 years. Excellent knife. German made. I won't waste my money on a Chinese made Boker.

This thread made me laugh I forgot about that knife lol havent watched my own yt video in a long while. But since this thread was brought back. Yes boker makes some good knives I have a little lockback decade edition I carry alot it has served me well and I also agree that the kwaiken is a good knife at least the two I had were. I really wanted that stingray to be decent.

Did you ever try contacting their warranty dept. to get a repair-replacement on it?

No I didnt I just sent it back to blade hq. They refunded me and I got something else.

Most of the Bokers I have are great the kwaiken I liked so much I have 4 :) I'm sure most production knive makers have mad a few bad examples of each mdl they produce.

Thanks

John

I've had a Boker Magnum Foxtrot Sierra II for awhile and kinda like it (although, could they have given it a LONGER name?). The stonewashed blade is decent-looking and its design has offered me the chance to get my feet wet with modifying the blade and making custom scales. Not sure it'd be on my "what-I'd-take-to-a-desert-island" list, but it's got a hefty blade that works well around the house.

I was very skeptical of Böker and stayed away from the brand for years until I got a Pry-Mini earlier this year. I was super impressed with the knife and got the larger Pry-Mate. Again super impressed. I now also own the Böker Plus TechTool 4 which is a great multi-tool and have my eyes on a Kwaiken flipper.

I'm seriously pedantic about the quality of my knives and will never defend a company that consistently delivers poor quality products. Since owning Böker products I cannot say that they gave me any reasons to doubt the quality of their products, and especially those made in Germany. There will always be lemons with a knife making operation as big as theirs. They cover the whole design/type/price spectrum. The question must always be: How does a company treat their customers when the lemons do appear?

My husband owned and gifted some older, beautiful and quality made BOKER knives with some other famous brand name OLDER knives over the years.

I think that BOKER-SOLINGEN - German made knives were well made.

I do not know about their modern aka recently made knives but I heard that they were well made too.

I have two Boker knives and i like them both. The first one is my Carvers Congress, this knife has seen a lot of use and i still love it. The second is a large two blade trapper "Tree Brand" labeled, although this knife hasn't seen as much use, i think the fit and finish of it is nicer than the carver.
