So, I have a Kershaw Blur that I've owned for a couple years now. I just can't like it. I have trouble not hating it.
The multiple texture handle scales are annoying, the blade doesn't deploy well (in my opinion), and it's a combo which I truly despise.

Now, I have several other Kershaw pocket knives that I really like, just not the Blur. Anyone else hate their Blur?

Why would you buy a combo edge, knowing that you don't like that type of blade? :)

Actually, giving it away seems like a great idea. I'll have to see what I can think up to make it a decent giveaway and I can get rid of that Blur!
Woo hoo!

nothing wrong with giving something away. i bought the kershaw ken onion blur with the partial serrated and didn't know any better. i hated the assisted opening and the partial serrated blade. it got very little use and i gave it away.

I took the assist out of mine, makes a really good manual. As far as the handle goes, mine is solid aluminum so I don't have any issues with that.

I have a rehab center for unwanted Blurs. We retrain them with a skill and give them a purpose to go on.

Not a big fan of the grip tape for a lack of a better term. Got an auto kershaw rogue with it and it carries poorly in the pocket. Dont know if its even close to the grip tape on the blur...but it was enough to keep me from buying one........but other than that the rogue is a really great knife. That's as close as I got to your dislike....

So many people love the Blurs and I personally really like it. I think the form of serrations on the Blur look nice and are very functional, but I will still always prefer a smooth blade for looks and function. I enjoy all the different versions they introduce. For the price I do not find a lot of people that do not like it. It might depend on what you are comparing it too.

just curious, why buy a knife with assisted opening and than take the assist out?

I am also in the minority, I can't stand Blurs. Every time I handle one I get excited and think "this time I'll understand the hype!!!" and every time I'm disappointed :(

I use the tanto blur at work I wear gloves all day and the grip is excellent combined with assisted opening makes it pretty handy to use . I do wish you could get the tanto in plan edge that would be nice.
