Hats & Knives

I don't wear a lot of different hats.
A USGI patrol cap in " m81 " woodland has been my year round every day general purpose hat for the past 15+ years as it will continue to be ( I'm stocked up ) till I'm gone, and a USGI boonie in " m81 " woodland is my outdoors hat in the summer and late spring.
From yardwork to walking the dog, shooting or fishing.

This Eddy bros Cougar model is my outdoors hat the rest of the year, fall through early spring.

I never really saw myself wearing a hat like this, but I found it cheap one year for a Halloween costume and eventually decided to give it a try.

I cleaned it up, steamed it straight, then made a new band for it and I ended up really liking it.

It proved to be a very nice hat, they still offer them for around $50 today but they are now imported.

This past summer’s sale binge find. I got 62cm head so ā€fits mostā€ is usually ā€kids sizeā€ for me. I was surprised that this adjustable does not only fit comfortably but this style of cap covers my alien shaped head much better than regular high caps.

What’s the bill made of? Cork?

I don't believe I've ever seen cork on a hat. Sent me on an internet search šŸš£ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ§—ā€ā™‚ļøšŸšµā€ā™‚ļø
Holy Cow! 🐮 There's all kinds of cork hats out there. I had no idea šŸ™‚
It’s a crazy new world! šŸ˜„ My fiancee has sunglasses case that is made of cork. For longest of time I thought cork was too ā€flakeyā€ to be used for anything else than wine bottles.

Hope you got enough for fried or BB-Q'd squirrel for the family's supper, evening snack, and possibly next days lunch. šŸ˜šŸ‘

Actually not this trip. I seen a few but the were little further than I wanted to shoot. Then someone showed up and was going to scout around to see where he wanted to put his tree stand for tomorrow’s open bow season for deer. So I just called it a day.

That’s a cool looking hat!
