Have you ever bought two of the exact same Traditional knives? Why?

I once thought I lost a little Rough Rider that I really liked the utility of, so I bought the same pattern again. I found the one I lost, so now I have two! :)

Yes, but currently I do not own any duplicates other than a couple of used vintage Victorinox Alox Pioneers. If I find a knife that is a personal keeper, and if that knife is more or less limited, I would like to own a second of the same as a back-up if I can manage to do so.

If I were to get a duplicate, the knife would have to be an all time favorite, limited, and hard to replace if lost or damaged beyond repair. It's something I would like to do, but in realty, it's not really something I can really justify doing as I am not a collector.

I can see getting two of the same bargain knives made by companies Such as Victorinox and Opinel as a more realistic option than buying two of the same GEC Northfields, although buying two of the same bargain knives seems a bit redundant if the bargain knives are regularly produced and available.

I will definitely buy two and more of same older/vintage and no longer produced knives if I can get them for bargain prices.
