Have You Ever Converted a Knifeless Friend Into a Every Day Carrier?

I've managed to convert a few. My last attempt resulted in stitches so I haven't bothered lately.

My wife................
She actually got tired of asking me for my knife for random stuff and stole my Vic Spartan.
That, a flashlight and a Stinger have become part of her purse contents....or as we Y chromosomers call it...edc :D

I converted my wife. I put Ladybug on her keychain. She loves it now.

Nobody I've given knives to has "got it" yet... they're left in drawers.

I picked up a GEC Scout #73 on the exchange and found it too small for my taste so I gave it to my brother. The only condition was that he had to use it. To his defense, he did say that he didn't have a knife because he didn't use them...well I gave him the Scout and said, "now you can start." I asked him three weeks later and he said he thought it was in his room somewhere.

It's been two months since this happened, he did find the knife, but I doubt that he's used it. Waste of steel and bocote wood.

My mom wanted a multitool after she saw one of her cop friends fixed a helmet at my little brothers hockey game with one. I bought her a sog crosscut and its in her purse 24/7, she actually uses it too.
I also bought my dad a leatherman wave, he carried it with him everywhere when he was in Thailand for a month but after he got back he leaves it at home.
Gave a couple bucks to friends last summer. One friend carried it everywhere until he lost it.

Actually now that I think of it, my mom EDC'd a knife before I even owned one. It was a no name SAK that was rusty from when she spilled coffee in her purse but thats still pretty cool of her.

My brother lives just outside Atlanta, so I mentioned driving down and he and I going to Blade Show, and he said he'd like to go.

I don't think I'm going to have to do anything except get him in the door. The rest will happen naturally.

I gave one friend a Para 2 and he carries it all the time. Gave my brother in law a Benchmade 690 and even though I don't see it often, I think he carries it a lot because the lock bar has travelled and it looks well used.

Yes, But I had to give them a realtively decent but cheap knife so they would quit asking me for mine :) . They got a Ontario Knife Utilitac. I gave it to them the thousandth time they asked if they could borrow mine. I gave him new one id been carrying in my pocket for about a week and said..here KEEP this one in YOUR pocket and dont ask me again....He hasnt asked in a year now.
