So this might be a little offtopic but I think it would be kind of cool to see if you guys have ever found knives in the woods on the street wherever. I have found three knives, a wolf knife I found less then a mile from my house I was walking around waiting for a friend to get home and I look down and saw it so I picked it up and cleaned it up a little and I still have it. I also found a crappy red knife walking home from school its dirty and can get a new one at a local shop for like 5 bucks but its a free knife so I picked it up. The last one I found was actually in the middle of the street in front of my grandparents house it was a small oldtimer shrade knife and I showed it to my mom and it was actually my grandfathers knife that had fell out of his pocket in the street so I picked it up and gave it to him and he was happy that he didn't have to buy a new knife xD. So I figured it would be cool to see if people have ever found knives before.

I found a cold steel tanto folder in a park laying in the dirt next to the University of FL back in the early 90s. Wasn't even into knives then. It was brand new. In the next few years it would be used for anything but cutting. Now that I like knives I can see the horror story in someone losing what they felt was a nice knife only to be found by the adult version of that crazy neighbor kid in Toy Story.

I've found a few over the years. My first knife (which I still have) was a little Tuxedo Penknife that I found in a park when I was about six or seven years old. Most of the knives I've found have been commercial butcher/skinning/boning knives. That just might be because the largest employer in town is a beef packing plant. A lot of folks around here make their living with those knives.

Found a sweet little Kershaw in a parking lot ... can't remember the model.

you are so lucky to have found one of these...

I found a Vic Swiss Champ lying in the middle of a road in a military training area.

The only blade I ever really used on that knife was the saw.

Yes, I once found a Wenger version of the Vic Classic. It was just lying on the street, nobody seemed to care for it so I took it and I actually still own and even carry it every now and then.

Years ago I found in my car an AMEFA version of a SAK, inscribed with initials and a number. The knife was well used but was probably of sentimental value as, I assume, a graduation present.

My brother and I found an original Leatherman in the middle of the street in Glendale, AZ, around '90. I think that one is in one of my dad's tackle boxes today.

Found a cheap no-name spyderco knockoff once, and it's not a knife, but I found a small Streamlight flashlight I still use.

Found a cheap-o Schrade, with 2 blades, in the parking lot of my workplace. Both blades were locked out and open. It was weird and sure looked out of place. Gave it to my younger brother, who was thrilled.

Found a little Gerber folder on the banks of the New River on a canoeing trip about 10 years ago. I think I passed it along to my younger brother after carrying for a couple years.

I found my very first knife in my parents garage in 1979. I was 4. The knife is an old Imperial Kamp King and I still have it.. It's the knife that started it all for me...

Some dude on here found a Benchmade green Osbourne 940.

The only nice thing I've found are a pair of oakley polarized gascans. I can't wear them though, I have glasses...

The knives I have seen in bushes and on the ground in bad parts of town all had blood on them; I kid you not. It's been years since I've been around those parts. Also, back then, I was only around those parts because I didn't know any better. I had just moved here from another country. This was 19 years ago.

EDIT: Needless to say, I never picked them up.

Most recently I found a Schrade imitation of a Buck folding hunter in the street within a couple block of my home. It was somewhat scratched, but cleaned up OK.
