Unless you were rude about it or over the top with what you wanted inspected, this part seems spiteful to me. Especially after telling you on the phone that you could ask for an inspection.

This hits the mark right here. Funny that they tried to backpedal and sell you a knife. You will be better off with other retailers, no doubt.

If any retailer ever asked to charge me an "inspection fee", I would laugh in their face. What a ridiculous notion.
