Have you seen anything like this before?

In my opnion, the handle was cast onto the blade. I think the blade was made out of something else industrial. A turbine or something.

It feels like the blade and the handle are made of the same steel.

Because of the sounds I make when I hit different places, I get the strange feeling that there are empty parts in both of them.
 
The handle and blade don’t show the same level of difficulty or talent. The blade is a very complex machining. The handle is not complex at all.

Ice axe is a good guess to a source for the blade. But the handle was added.

Clean up that black coating on the base of the blade to look for a seam. Let steam condensate on it, try to etch it, A seam will become evident.

That seems like a pretty sound theory. Sometimes people just get a bug up their ass to make something weird, and here we are. Thanks for sharing - it's been fun just to read all the speculation.

For a moment, I thought you said that because you knew what it was, and I was excited to find out.You mean it's useless😂, I agree with you on that, but sometimes you just pay for the story.
 
I noticed something on the knife that I hadn't noticed before.

You won't know if its useless until you know what its intended to do.....
 
Fun thread, interesting knife. I can't add anything about the specific knife. I don't think the handle and blade being of a piece is that rare. I have this Kabar which is all one piece so...couldn't find the shrug, I don't know emoji 🙁

When you look at it from this perspective, aren't all fixed knives like that😂? I also have schrade schf series knives made of one piece of steel, which I have shared before in various threads on the forum. It seems strange when combined with the fact that it has this mass.
