Not familiar with this knife... unique indeed. I'd say probably a custom forged knife??

I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you mean.I think you paid about $97 more than you should have.
And thats the thing right there.....nobody is going to take the time to create a die for a single knife. If it was die forged, or even cast for that matter, there are more of these somewhere........It almost looks like it was made from an ice axe......If it was forged, it came out of a die.
It feels like the blade and the handle are made of the same steel. In my opnion, the handle was cast onto the blade. I think the blade was made out of something else industrial. A turbine or something.
It has 7.5 inches blade, 4.7 inches handle. Handle thickness 1 inchesJust out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of this thing?
The handle is very heavy compared to the blade. How's the balance? Is it blade or handle heavy?
I'm sorry, I didn't understand what you mean.
Some crazy guy did it just because he could?
For a moment, I thought you said that because you knew what it was, and I was excited to find out.You mean it's uselessJust a weak attempt at humor.
But I doubt I would have paid $100 for it.
That seems like a pretty sound theory. Sometimes people just get a bug up their ass to make something weird, and here we are. Thanks for sharing - it's been fun just to read all the speculation.
You won't know if its useless until you know what its intended to do.....For a moment, I thought you said that because you knew what it was, and I was excited to find out.You mean it's useless, I agree with you on that, but sometimes you just pay for the story.
You are quite right, but unfortunately it is useless for me who does not know what it doesYou won't know if its useless until you know what its intended to do.....
When you look at it from this perspective, aren't all fixed knives like thatFun thread, interesting knife. I can't add anything about the specific knife. I don't think the handle and blade being of a piece is that rare. I have this Kabar which is all one piece so...couldn't find the shrug, I don't know emoji

...the giant holes in the blade?I noticed something on the knife that I hadn't noticed before.
