It looks great. I have not seen the sculpted maple before.

I have a stealth axe with maple that has a custom engraving and a field knife with sculpted rubber. I may have to look into the sculpted maple for my next purchase.

I'm not into Hawks, but can you tell us about the blade? That thing is sweet!!!

Sure .. I bought it as a DIY blade blank from a maker here in the forum. Look up Backwoods Customs. I've purchased a few different patterned profiles of his work. Very nicely made and very functional as a camp knife. Which reminds me, I think I'll finish out another one of his blanks I've had sitting on the work shelf. :) - here's knife only pic of some DIY blades I bought/finished from him.

This is already turning out to be a sweet carry combo. Added a CRKT neck knife to sheath of the hawk by bolting it on and it seems to really like it's new home. There is also a mini flint and mini lighter on the nylon strap of the hawk sheath and a small flashlight looped on a buckle of the hawk sheath. Nothing rattles. And its all light, including my Kabar, "Fidelis" in an aftermarket quickdraw sheath.
