Quick review of the blades:
Kabar Khukuri: a solid chopper, excels at deep V style chop cuts. Good feel in the hand, nice weightforward design. Also excels at processing ribs and beef. Easy to sharpen.
BECKER B7: An excellent all rounder, from fuzzsticks to light chopping. Best suited for less than 4" thick logs, otherwise its a workout. Also excels in the kitchen. Easy to sharpen.
SY SOD: the ultimate fatwood gathering knife. Handles things that would break most knives, including prying, wrenching side to side, knot chopping, and i hate to admit it...batoning. Yes its the ONLY knife i will baton. Chops well, has a good heavy weight to it, the respirene handle is grippy when wet and does'nt stain, fits the hand perfectly. Holds an edge even after the worst abuse. Bear to sharpen though. Best to use a belt sander and fine grade 3M belts.
Becker/Kabar B9: Another all rounder. excels at chopping, excels at slicing, excels at fuzzsticks and in the kitchen when prepping meat or veggies. Easy to sharpen, and just feels right in the hand.
Kabar Mule folder : one of the best bang for the buck tough folders out there. Can get a wicked sharp edge on it, and it pretty much feels like a fixed blade when open. Wicked slicer.
Spyderco Sprint Run large MANIX: another tough blade. Wicked slicer. Takes a bit to get an edge on it but once you do its scary sharp. Nice leaf style blade.
Handley Bladesmith TAC EDC: another wicked slicer. comfortable in the hand, easy to sharpen and holds an edge. a scary sharp edge.....
MM File SAR File Necker: this little gem is a fun blade that i carry everywhere. Slices thru anything, if you strop it you can get almost a surgical edge. makes fuzzsticks fast.
