Heavy duty folder less than 3" blade

Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite with serrated blade.
Thanks for the suggestion on the cold steel, but it appears that knife is discontinued and the shape of the blade is a sheeps foot, not tanto or reverse tanto. But i did indeed already purchase a Hinderer Halftrack and am now seeking options on adding serrations.

Cold Steel may have what you're looking for. (Tri-Ad lock, CTS-XHP steel and G10 grips make a great combo.)

Ed, take a look at the post immediately previous of yours by the OP.

Have you found anyone to do the serrations work for you yet?

ZT 0900 - Very stout Ti folder with a 2.7" blade.

I know you already bought something but this is the closest knife I know of that matched your needs.

- Mantis Wile E. It's not a tanto but it does have the serrations.

I have one and its definitely "heavy duty". 2.4" CPM-S30V.

It's made in China and it's not expensive. It's a far cry from a Hinderer and some of the other good suggestions but it's a tough little guy.

Scott, I appreciate your help with getting the info on the warranty, and to answer your question as it relates to serrations, no - but I am actually very interested in seeing the different methods of adding the serrations to the blades. I think once I answer that question it will help me decide what is the best way to proceed - if at all.

Regards.

Thanks for the response - That's a great looking knife actually. Who makes it, and where are they sold? I have seen quite a number of the China made knives that have met my requirements but I'm not a fan of the cheaper build quality or the inferior steel.

I don't believe you've shared why it is you need the serrations?

I'm of the opinion, and I think many here would agree with me, that a partially serrated blade is the worst of both worlds. If you really need serrations, why not go fully serrated? Although, it would be kinda cool to bring the serrations all the way out to the second point, and have plain edge between the two points.

It's made by Mantis. The model is Wile E.

I think the major online knife sellers carry it. Mine came from Amazon.

They named it after the Coyote from Road Runner.

Thanks for the information JDRanger, i just looked at their site and they make incredibly nice knives at a great price. I may order some just to throw in a bob or my truck.
