Recommendation? Heavy duty pocket knife for everyday use. Which one of the two options?

Well.. If you're looking for the biggest, baddest folder around, why don't you get this? 🤣 I just saw a post elsewhere where Midgards Messer said this is just about to come out for pre-order. But on a serious note, if Kansept is making their knives then they are going to be some well built knives.

If the op wants to go a bit more traditional with a lockback, I’d call this one over built…

Don’t know if the OP has a Cold Steel AD10 in his collection but if you like the 4Max, the AD10 is just a smaller version and easier to carry. Get it in the tanto version, can’t imagine a stronger folder than that.

I’ve also really enjoyed the all stainless steel Spydercos. Overbuilt, heavy, locks up like a bank vault. Go for the stainless steel Endura

I saw this beast. Definitely a great knife. I wish they had used titanium instead of aluminum. It is also very interesting that the blade is in free swing like the guillotine. Surprisingly the price is close to other Midgards folders. I think aluminum has a positive effect on the price. And I don't know why they stubbornly use cpm D2. A blade this big would be better with carbon steel.

Yea, you just made me take a look on their website, i saw it before on instagram. That thing is a beeaast! 11+ inch blade. I actually would be a fun blade to have in the collection just for gags mostly. And you're right, it's suprisingly similar to the price of their other folders. Unfortunately, it's too expensive for me to buy just to have something cool to show people who come over. Cool little piece there though haha.

Ad10 Definitely a great pocket knife. I saw the Tanto model. I'll take one of the lite ones. For some reason the stainless spyderco doesn't feel good to me ergonomically. I guess because it slipped from my hand. I had the Police model with serrated. That's why I sold it.
