I took some quickie snapshots of my latest pistol the other day, specifically Heckler & Koch's new HK45. I don't think that I posted them here yet, and someone sent me a PM a week or two ago requesting that I do so.
Well, here it is. Note that I have the slim slide stop levers installed.
I need to carve out some free time to go shoot this thing. Writing a 1,000-page book certainly doesn't help in the "free time" department.
Some interesting facts about the HK45:
Its grip was designed by Wilfried Nill (the Nill of Nill Grips in Germany, world-famous for their outstanding wood grips). Wilfried Nill also designed the grip of the HK P30.
Its grip uses interchangeable backstraps. Two are included with the pistol.
Its barrel uses an O-ring, like the USP45 Match/Expert/Elite/Tactical.
Its magazines are not compatible with those of the USP45. They are thinner. This gave them the freedom to contour the grip so that it better fits the human hand.
Its magazines hold ten rounds of .45 Auto.
Its sights are different from those found on the USP and P2000 series.
Its trigger is excellent, with a shorter reset than found on the USP or P2000 series.
