If you have access to a military base where the BX sells handguns, you can pick one up for the bottom end of this range. I find Marine Corps Bases excellent for this purpose. :D

Nice pics and nice piece. How does it shoot?

A properly built 1911 will keep ticking with the best reliable production pistols, and out shoot them too. There's a reason why 1911s dominate the competition arena. Check out Marvel Customs if it interests you...for "exceptionally accurate and reliable pistols"

Great pics of a sweet gun:thumbup:

I sold my USP a few years ago, was accurate with very little recoil but the grip was to large. Please let us know how it shoots compared to the USP.

I'm with you Tony, love my Sigs the most.

I can't remember who it was above that had the .40 Sig, but you need to send it back and tell them to make it right. They may just need to polish the throat.
The .357 Sig won't jam in anything, great thing about the bottle neck design. But the darn report is terrible, I just keep the .40 barrel in my 229

The H&Ks seem to be of the same mind as the Sigs and I’m considering getting one. How do you stack up an H&K v. a Sig?

I have both a SIG 220 and a USP .45. For me the grips on the USP seem a tad bulkier. I enjoy shooting the USP more, but both are great pistols. If I had huge hands the USP would be a better choice IMHO, either way you can't go wrong.

I have always loved Sigs as a serious weapon that are simple and would never fail me verses say a 1911 which is a very cool gun that I love to shoot but just doesn’t give me the same confidence.

I have owned several 1911's and would have to agree (sort of). Many of the 1911's of the past and present are jam o matics (especially with hollow point ammo). If you either tweak em or move on up to the Les Baer, Wilson, Ed Brown variety, I believe you will find that they run flawlessly and therefore would gain your confidence with shooting time.

Lunde, its a really good thing that your gun is clean because with the clarity of those pics, if there was a spec of dust on it, we would know!!! I am always amazed at your pics.

you're one damn lucky SOB...I saw that the prototypes that were being tested for the JCP had coyote brown polymer. Is this an option on the production ones for sale now?

Also known as Baby Poop Yellow. ;)

Thankfully, they are available in all-black.:thumbup:

Very nice pics Lunde!!!! I'm waiting for this one to hit Canada next year!!!

I love my Sig 229 the best !!! but I can't wait to try out the HK.

I tried the LEM trigger, and honestly didn't care for it. My first P2000 SK was a V2 (LEM) in 9mm. I didn't like it, but I kept it. Buying a P2000 SK V3 in 9mm solved my problem. Granted, the problem is me, not the LEM trigger. I prefer SA/DA with decocker over LEM.

The HK45 was a Christmas gift from my parents, so no bank account recovery was necessary.
