Hello fellow blade Lovers, and OMG I broke my BK2 !!

I'd like to start off by saying hello to everyone, this being my first day/post/knife!

That being said. Are you all well seated?. I broke my Bk2, wich to me is just insane, on its first day of use, on about the 20th hit I made on that branch.
I feel like, if that knife can brake, there is nothing safe for me on this earth, i feel hollow inside, share myy pain fellow knife lovers

So its on its way to Olean NY of course, because i need that blade back ASAP.

Yeah if we don't see pics soon you will be branded a lair forever here. I'm in shock. You have to show pics! Otherwise it's BS. If their's one blade that has godlike strengh and durablity it's the BK2. YOU HAVE TO SHOW PICS AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED IN MORE DETAIL. I have a hard time believing it broke on a branch if it's even broke at all. How does one break a BK2? I'm sure i could crush 9 ton boulders to dust with mine and without a issue.

I can only imagine how heartbroken I'd be if my BK2 broke....

It Broke right behind the first bolt before the blade, right on the edge of the first holed part to lighted the knife. I have stuff to do as of now. I'll be making a photobucket account later tonight. Or maybe someone of you guys with permission to post photos can contact me via email, and post them.

I'm not trying to be a jerk at all. Just in complete shock if true and dying to see the pics of it. Just saying "no pics no proof". Emailed him. Could just wait til he figures out how to get hes pics up but truely dying to see them.

I doubt I'll ever break my BK-2.... it just stays in the box at home! It is too much knife for this guy.

Was it one of the current laser etched ones they are selling now or the version that preceeded it?

Last time I heard of a busted BK2 the owner was splitting wood by pounding it through with the back of an axe. Someone did a series where they used a BK2 to chop cinder blocks, bolts, batoned lawnmower decks and old refrigerators... If a BK2 breaks I can't help but be skeptical. But anything is possible. Maybe there was a tiny crack in the tang when it left the factory or something.

Yeah, last time i read about a broken BK2 (and there have been a few), an inclusion or imperfection in the steel near a stress riser (I think it was the same bolt-hole) was the culprit, not something easily QC'd which is why there is the warranty. It's a stout knife.
