Hello, first post and lefty EDC folder question

Ru talking 2me?

If so, I think you missed the part where I said that I'm ambi and shoot left handed and carry/handle knives right handed.

Woops I replied to wrong person. That message was meant for Op.

But my handedness is just like you.

Shooting writing left and most sports and knives right. But I have become pretty fully ambi when using knives or shooting with practice.

I'm a lefty the 2 lock blades with pocket clips I use are a benchmade mini griptillion or cold steel pocket bushman

Lapedog Lapedog thanks for the advice - CRK is above my budget right now, starting grad school in the fall, so maybe a gift to myself when I graduate.

Another lefty here. Keep doing your research. Never adapt, never compromise with the "right handed is ok" crowd. With all the selections out there, you don't have to.

I'll just put in my .02 as a lefty myself I personally have found right handed knives to work as well or better for me the only thing ever "needing" changed is usually the clip location but that doesn't matter much. I have found for majority of knives using holes the hole is accessible from either side making it relatively ambidextrous and flippers are all ambidextrous. What often is the real "lefty" piece is the lockbar for me personally I prefer having a right handed lockbar and then the clip as it relates to how the knife rides in pocket and how you will grab the knife from your pocket. For my the clip is largely irrelevant as there is more than one way to grasp and pull the knife from your pocket which can adjust for a less desired positioning in the pocket. So for my unless the opening mechanism is only accessible when gripped in the right hand, technically still accessible just awkwardly left handed, I tend to view most all knives as ambidextrous. The final issue would be chisel ground blades as cutting with the left vs the right hand would dictate which is the "back" of the blade and a chisel grind only have 1 back making them specifically left or right handed.

Purchasing a Benchmade 555HG from @RRG and heading to Cabela's today to fondle some hardware.

Great choice!
I have moved mainly into purchasing customs (except the occasional production lefty) and even though it's not as often as it used to, the Mini Grip will always find it's way into my pocket.

Thank you to everyone who posted in this thread and made me feel welcome. The mini griptilian is great! Next on the list - a left-handed flipper!
