Hello from Alaska, Finally Took the Plunge..

Welcome to the Infidiction! The KZII is as wonderful as it looks; one big freakin' piece of Infi goodness!

The KZII is a little to big for my tastes. It took me a long time to warm up to my first BWM. I have yet to own the NMFBM.
I also forgot to tell you most of these guys are 1911 junkies.

Hey Mike,

Welcome from another 54 year old in Alaska!!! Wasilla to be exact. One of these days we will need to get together, us Alaskans (everyone listening) that is and have some fun with the toys.

Again Welcome!!!

OK, that is spooky!

I was just looking at the Sage AD in your 4 sale thread

It would make a nice companion to my upcoming BWM

Thinking...thinking...

1911 hmmm....I might be getting one in the near future....

Anyway back to topic, congrats on the score, here is the easiest way to learn all the acronyms, you just have to look through all the busse offerings, then pick out the ones you absolutely love, and must have. The acronyms for those that you want will be stuck in your head automatically, and most likely you would end up knowing about 95% of all the Busse acronyms by heart.

And trust me there is whole new level of poor for those who discover INFI.

Actually here is a cool place to start.

http://www.hogcult.com/

Shows release and pricing on most models. Many were made in small batches and are very hard to find. Some are posted every other day for sale.

My list wants after I get other stuff paid off is

NMFBM lep with green linen if I can find it

FFBM in lep

Treat yourself to one impulse buy this week to help wait till your BWM ships and study!

Greetings from Alaska

Although I joined Blade Forums over a year ago I have been content to sit back, study and soak it in until know.

I have been an avid knife user as long as I can remember and have a large and varied collection, but had never really been around Busse knives until my son discovered them (and Scrappers and Rats).

I have been getting my Busse fix vicariously through my son's purchases, but he finally shamed me into dropping the hammer on my own hunk of INFI steel by rubbing his Bushwackers, Basic 11s and other Busse Beauties under my nose.

I ordered a Jungle Green and black Micarta Bushwacker direct from the Busse website and then called a couple days later and talked to Lexie to confirm the order (she is a sweetheart, although you all know that already).

Then my son called Amy O later in the day and piggybacked another Bushwacker for himself on the same order (on the old man's VISA card).

Ahh, the joys of children.

Now I just have to sit back and be patient for about 2 months (it hurts).

I have also talked to the good folks at Lost Mountain and will be ordering a Foot Long to go with my new score.

Thanks for listening and I look forward to being a member of this fine group of maniacs.

It is going to be two very, very, very, looooong months of waiting. The pain hasn't even really started yet! Sweaty palms, nightmares, anxiety attacks...

But guess what?? I hope that your inbox is not full because you will be receiving a tracking number from me later today! How is that for painful?:)

Lexi

Wow Lexi you are awesome. It is hard to explain the excitement and pride of dealing with an American company that takes the time to post on someones thread the status of an order. Dealing with you and Amy is fantastic. You have customers for life with my family.

I guess it is also cool that you all make the best knives money can buy!!!

Lexi,

Bring the pain!! BRING IT!!!

Seriously, you can't ask for better customer service and communication.

I am actually driving to Wasilla this evening and picking up an AD in sage with OD G10.

Now I have the beginning of a happy INFI family.

All the folks at Busse and this forum ROCK!

Michael

I imagine that Alaska is surely survival knife country. You will love your Busse's and never look back. congratulations on your buy.. it won't be your last :-)

No my friend what you have is a disease... A terrible, incurable disease... INFIitis! First your credit cards get delcined, then the cars towed away, next you find yourself living in a van down by the river.

Only remedy is to quickly send all your infected knives to the doctor who diagnosed your probelm.

Did I mention I'm a Dr.:D

Oh MAN! I cant wait for my jungle green BWM to meet my lep warden and B11.To quote many suckers before me, "I wont need to buy another knife"

Wow, how cool is that? A college educated board certified INFIcologist who is willing to take in my poor sick INFI family to try and cure me from this terrible disease.

What a guy....

Sniff, sniff........

Sorry, I got a little teary eyed there for a minute

You guys are the best

You know, Alaska doesn't have a lock on wild country that can test men and equipment to the limit. You could get just as dead just as fast in the Bob Marshall wilderness or a dozen other places in the lower 48; but, Alaska does have a habit of sorting out the men from the boys and quality gear from junk. My family lived out in the bush for years and I cant count the number of folks who came to live and work in the area, and headed out to the boonies prepared with equipment for a weekend camp-out at a lower 48 "drive 1/4 mile off the road" campsite. It just takes one Memorial Day weekend snowstorm that crushes your "family" tent 60 miles up the river to teach you that you better get some tough gear or stay home.

I just got back from picking up my AD from RussMo, and man am I PUMPED.

I know you all figured this out long ago, but if there was ever a knife built for Alaska, it is a Busse. :D

Michael

Oh but you will Zach, you will!!!:D;)

I finally figured it out. This is all a plot to have a small segment of the population (the hog squad) fix the economic recession by pumping billions of dollars into the economy buying Busse knives.

We are true patriots!

Michael

Man I hadn't thought of that, but that is a possibilty!!! At least when we buy Busse we support our own for sure...

Russ, it was great to meet you and your lovely wife. Thanks again for the smoking deal on the knife and the warm welcome to the Busse crew. Cant wait to have some kind of Alaska/Busse coffee sipping stitch and bitch meeting.
