Nice to have clich back. He contributed to the community and we were sorry to see him go. Thrill, not so much.
 
Clich!!! Good to see you around here again. I'm not on as much as I used to be but I do stop in every once in a while; glad I did. I don't have any cliched blades but I always admired your creativity. I hope you get a chance to spend a little time with us on a semi-regular basis at least.

I still am not sure if Thrillbilly had it planned from the start or not. I really considered him my friend. We talked on the phone quite a bit. He spent some time getting in good here with everyone and becoming a Beckerhead. About a year I think, maybe longer. Became a kydex maker. He spent some time selling sheaths and appearing legit. He gave some away too.

I ordered a sheath and mailed him a knife. Everything went great. Got it back and he even threw in a free sheath. After a while he stopped sending people their stuff and just started collecting money and knives. About that time he was in a pass around that K9 handler did. He was the first person to get the knife. He took that too. Crimsonfalcon had a thread going on where he gave a way a couple of his knives. I was one of the winners. Thrillbilly offered to do free kydex for the knives and then send them on to the winner. We never saw those again either.

Pretty messed up situation. He was banned and lost his Beckerhead number.


Crimsonfalcon being the awesome guy he is made me a new one and let me help design it.


Its the top one that looks kind of like a little BK9.

I knew he ended up with some of those things, but forgot just how much and how many things it was. He really did make a lot of friends here, so it makes you
wonder what really happened with him.
 
I like to think that what happened with Thrillbilly was just a perfect storm of things going wrong. I think by the time he could do something about it he had already been burned at the stake and couldnt bring himself to deal with people to clean up the mess. No excuses. He screwed some stuff up, but I dont think he planned it. At least not from what I have heard.
 
I probably came here shortly after you left, too, clich. Lot of great work you left as a legacy, tho - looking through some of the older threads has helped me a great deal with my own modding. Good to see you back.

He even showed up at a Gathering before it all went south. That fact did not fly well with Ethan after it all unfolded.
Planned or unplanned, until he makes it right, and he still could, he's a thief in my book. Sorry, but I have no truck with thieves.
I understand shades of gray, but after the chips fall, it all comes down to black and white. He could have eventually owned up and cleaned up.
