Up for sale or trade is a custom folder from the Austrian knife maker Helmut Pirklbauer.
This model is called 2way.
This is a manual knife not an automatic!
Function:
If you press the button, the blade is unlocked.
Locking at 90 degrees, you can use it as a push knife.
Locking at 180 degrees, you can use it as a typical folding knife.
Specs:
Blade steel: N690Co
(plain, spear point with top swedge, a kind of two tone finish bead blast and polished triangle patterns)
Liners and Clip: Titanium
Handle: Carbon Fiber
Length closed: 5.315
Blade length (using as a push knife): 3.228
Blade length (using as a folder): 2.441
Usable cutting length: 2.362
Blade thickness (at the ricasso): 0.157
Weight: 0.384 pounds (6.14 ounces)
Condition:
I have bought this knife on Aug-3-2010 from an Austrian knife dealer for reduced 700.00 (approximately US$ 940.00) see invoice.
The price from maker was 960.00 (approximately US$ 1280.00).
I have carried the knife only a few times.
The knife has been handled but not used or sharpened.
The lock is great, no play.
The blade is centered in locked or opened position.
There is a small scratch on the right side of the blade (see pictures).
Otherwise near mint condition.
