Thanks Paul.
8 hour 000-steelwool with linseed oil (and some turpentine of course) polish made the wood smooth and smells good. Some wax on it too and no more worries for stains or rains. A little piece leather cord in the end to hold on to when slippery.

Ok guys. This thread turned out to be one of my worst ever. Looking for gold ending up with lead...
To put an end to it Ill say what I got and how they work.

The Finnwolf had a bad feeling to its handle. Plastic and not very ergonomic. The reason for choosing these knifes was only the one-hand-opening function. The thumb screw solution didn't work as intended. After 15 minutes on the wood the Taiwan steel ahad chipped in a couple of places. Calling the blade Scandic is for me a joke, in Scandinavia no knife would be this weak in the 2 dollar segment and over.

I bought a Ka-Bar Dosier to. The Taiwan steel here is less known but doesnt chip when buttering your sandwiches.
Great little thing for everyday for slicing smoked deer and such.

Happy 2016
