Help design a knife for hiking and camping!

I think I like the basic drop point on better.

Yeah, straight spine, inline with the handle. 1/8" stock, squared nicely on the back, full convex grind. Handle tapered from the butt. Well rounded scales, exactly like the Kephart, but with the full tang exposed.

I'm thinking something like a fallkniven a1, but not so fragile... :)

I'm kidding, but that size seems right for a number of different tasks one might require of their blade on a camping/hiking trip. I'm intrigued by the "no guard" types... I wonder why a guard might be frowned upon, by some people...

I thought you were looking for a larger, heavier type blade for the Camp tasks, if we are just talking about mid-sized fixed blades then I have already found my perfect partner ( never thought I'd be able to say that !!!) and it is this....

My Swamprat Ratmandu...there ain't one thing I would change about this knife !

i designed something ages ago but didnt find a commercial market for,
I created it based on research on old colonial australian bowies, with a modern handle. Let me know if you like it or not; i'm interested in getting these produced :)
