The last couple of days have sucked. Long story short....I had a couple of packages inbound. I checked the delivery confirmation number and it said the pkg had been delivered. The problem is that I didn't get the package. Stupid me didn't request insurance. I call the PO and eventually meet with my mail carrier at the box. The mail carrier told me that she put the packages in the box. I trust her, better yet, her supervisor trusts her (I did cover my bases and call him). I call the cops and have a converstion with a couple of officers. I find it best to keep them in the loop on this even though they have no jurisdiction. I am filing the postal paperwork right now.

Is there anything I you guys know of that I can do.

For the record, the knives lost were a Ti ZDP Leek and a Blk/Blk JYDII.... argh where the heck am I going to find another ZDP Leek.

Anyway, if you have any help....Please Help Me

That's a crime...find the sucker and introduce him to Mr. L. Slugger...

What's the model number on that Leek? And the Blk/Blk JYD II?

:eek:...What a freakin' bummer. I lost a Buck 110 that had just been sent back after getting a BG-42 blade upgrade. They were nice enough to leave the empty box laying on the sidewalk a couple of houses away from my mailbox. I did the same thing you did, talked to the carrier, his boss, the local militia...everyone I could think of.............. I still have that empty box...

They're a pain in the azz...but it's times like this I can appreciate my communal locked mail box array.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, though. The penalties can be stiff...it's catching the scumbags that's the hard part.

:grumpy:

Daryl, that truly sucks. It may be worse than my problem. When you send out for an upgrade you get all this anticipation then that massive let down.

riffraff, I hope I can get some sort of satisfaction out of this. I am trying to take all of the right steps to maximize the potential for a future ball busting and public humiliation, alas, the odds are very slim.

...No...I don't believe it was as bad as your situation...I at least had used that knife for a while with the standard blade...You never got the knives at all...That is "suckie" to the tens...Sorry to hear about that spiral...:(

Wow, that really sucks Spiral and Darryl!

Too bad you can't mail yourselves some exploding dye packs...

Was it actually delivered in the mailbox? Or was it left at the front door? If it was taken out of the mailbox, I'd think about who else knew those knives were coming in. If it was left at the door, likely some neighborhood kid.

...The sick feeling in my stomach and the bein' pi$$ed off for weeks is long gone for me. Spiral's hurt has just started and he needs the support and suggestions for dealing with the freak that stole his knives. Suggestions that include bizzare methods of removing small strips of epidermis if the opportunity should present itself...heh heh heh...:D:p

Whoozever it was just don't know who there dealing with. Best they sleep with a night light and one eye open.

That's just bad juju taking another man's sharp edge without asking. Makes me feel strange inside.

Agreed. Who knew you were getting the knives? Has your mail carrier ever shown an interest in knives or anything else you receive regularly? Unfortunately, "occam's razor theory" holds true quite frequently: All things being equal, the simplist explanation is best--whom is more likely to steal something out of your mailbox: a stranger that has no idea what you are getting that day, or the mail carrier that had your package last?

It seems too arbitrary for a stranger to have picked your mailbox out of all the others, on that particular day, especially if your mailbox hasn't been robbed before. That being said, I don't know what your neighborhood is like, or your mailbox situation/environment.

SO SORRY to hear about your loss spiral. Your enemies are my enemies. Keep an eye on ebay for each knife being sold by the same seller.

There. Fixed it for ya. And I agree...someone knew he collected knives and saw the packages and took them. This is a slap in the face of The Family and it's associates. He has been disrespected.

Guys, the weird thing is that no one really knows anything about it. I only really have speculation at this point. The packages were in the mail box which is the weird thing. I could almost understand them getting clipped on the porch but outta the box, that's just wrong.

It is too bad that the "Family" can't swoop down and dish out some justice.

...When they snatched mine spiral...they didn't hit just me. They hit virtually all the mailboxes in a 2 block area in broad daylight and no one saw a thing. Granted, most of the people were off to work (including me ) but you would think someone would see something. Were any other mailboxes hit in your area???...

Sorry to hear that spiral. That bites. Take Jeremy's advice about finding them.
Look at sales for them on FleaBay.

I'll keep an eye out there myself.

Dang Darryl, a BF42 110?!?! Man, people really stoop low.

sorry for your losses guys. truly.
