Help, I've lost my knives....

Aaah you mean the one near the rock next to the back porch under the drain pipe that points to the basement where there is another pipe that leads under the house to the other side of the house and into a hole in the wall where the bag is kept, pretty much at the bottom of the basement stairs but nobody will ever know

LOL that's the responce I expect to get so I will spare myself the confusion :p , no offence intended Carl :D

Calvinw,

Two hugs for you bro, I dropped one too many knives by letting them sit in my pockets, so I started carrying them in my coin pocket ;) (one ata time of course)

Well I KNOW for a fact if I had hidden 10K ...I would be able to tell you where it was in a heartbeat!

Dear Sir,

If you have checked all the aforementioned places as well as your pockets, I have one question: Do you have kids? If so, look there, they have them ;)

Seriously though, I hope you find 'em. I've had my boys "borrow" some of my things and "forget" to replace them. Boys will be boys...

Haha no I do not have kids, yet, I'm a college student so any loss of my knives is my own fault :o but thats a good tip I will keep in mind for my own kids ;)

that apple must have had a sharp taste...........

Yeah, but think of the awesome patina I'm building!

Hang in there, OP: I've had stray blades show up weeks after giving up on them. Now I just give up early with a sly wink and wait for the lost ones to get back from the other dimension.

Haha well I think I can wait a little while, I just entered a trade with another forum member for a Case stockman in amber bone ;) bout the same size as my 307 so it may be a good enough substitute

I lost a Lloyd mammoth Ivory swayback Wharncliffe the same night I opened the package it was in!! Dropped it in my scrubs and went for a walk with my daughter to the store. Playing on the way she wanted me to do some martial arts rolls in the field. Being more used to zippered khaki pockets or jeans I played without a second thought. Only after getting home did I realize that large opening horizontal pockets on a shirt aren't the best for upside down retention. I searched the frills for 2 hours with flashlight in hand and on head to no avail. I felt so irresponsible, as somebody without knife etiquette may have found it and hurt somebody or themselves (little kid for example). I have the best wife in the world, because the next day she went looking for it and found it in under 5 minutes- it is currently one of my favorite slipjoints, so I am very thankful!!!

I know the feeling- check couch cushions, and beside the toilet (don't ask how I know to look there)!

Hugs back to you for the misplacement!!

Haha well I guess you could say your wife found a fossil ;) that mammoth ivory is some of the most beautiful handle materials I've ever seen. I wonder how expensive it would be to buy some raw material and make myself a couple scales

Thanks, they shall be found soon.

If you have a favorite recliner, check under it and in the little gaps between the frame and cushions, particularly the gap where the back meets the seat. Lost many a good knife in that little cranny, first place I check now.

Well unfortunatly I lost it by putting a few of my favorite knives in a bag seperate from the other knives, now I can't find the bag......I don't even remember what the bag (or maybe box?) looked like :o

go through every bag in your house. Every one of them.
Boxes too. It'll eventually be the right one. Doesn't matter how bizarre it is, look.
With the permission of whoever owns it, of course.

Ironically, I've done that :p it's one of those hopeless losses, the knives are in some obscure location I would never put them without thinking "It's such an odd place I'll never forget...."

this is gonna sound really strange, but look on your windowsills. I left one of my non traditional knives there and couldnt find it for a week. Walked right past it every day, never realized it was there.
