Help locate stolen Busse AMS....

If you filed a police report, after the seller was contacted and provided the information, ebay should also be contacted and given the police report. The sale should be cancelled, all money refunded, and the item should be returned. I dont think dealing in stolen goods is good for any business.

Possession of Stolen Property charge is always a powerful motivation to do the right thing.

Could of been worse. you could have been parked at the beach with 20 friggin people around and gotten a handgun, knives, tools and a backpack full of gear stolen, along with a busted window , center console and stereo/gps console... after paying for all the damages and re-buying everything I was $500 in the friggin hole + another $500 on the deductible putting me -$1000 Good going state farm :disgust:

only thing recovered was the handgun because the idiots cousin tried to pawn it.

For the first 5-6 months every time I saw something bad on the news I hoped the guy who died was the one who stole my stuff

I had to pick up an estimate on my truck one day. Stopped at the garage, went inside for 3 minutes, and when I came out my Pipe(tobacco) bag was gone. In it was a 1983 Dunhill Dress Lovat, a Nording freehand(which was a wonderful smoker), the poker from a Peterson Mark Twain set, and a zippo that belonged to my grandfather. In the end, the only item I was and still am the most upset about was the zippo. Never did find it or the other pieces at any pawn shop nearby or on craigslist.

Just kept imagining these miscreants defiling my pipes and lighter with drugs or just tossing them in the trash like useless objects. Nothing in the bag would have looked valuable in any sense to someone who doesn't smoke pipes.

Hey fellas, it has been quite some time since I've posted at all on the forums. Since then, the pawn shop that sold my knife closed and they of course closed their eBay store too. It is my understanding that they had been dealing with a lot of stolen property, but most of the victims have not had luck when it comes to getting anything back. I've been hoping that it might turn up here, or maybe someone will recognize the knife out in the wild and tell the person that it was stolen. I'd pay whatever was paid for the knife to get it back. If nothing else, maybe I can talk the Busse crew into making me another one. Other than that, life has been just peachy.

Take a look online to see if you can get the name of the owner and see where they opened up shop. Someone that runs a shop like this won't stay closed for long, since the people that sell to them probably have their contact info to fence crap.

Look them up and take a look through their current goods, see if anything doesn't add up and contact your local police dept, see if they are looking for the owner/proprietor for anything related.

Especially if there is a history of stolen goods going through their hands, they may want to take a look through their goods as they are "shopping"...

Best of luck.

Yeah, that's been done. But the owner of the shop was "unaware" of any criminal activity going on. A load of crap, I think. But I'm not a cop. Another problem is the area's in the middle of the worst heroin epidemic ever. They had 14 overdose deaths in two weeks recently. Rounding up that trash is taking precedence over everything else, as it should. If them putting my little knife on the backburner helps save lives, so be it.

So, I just wanted to bump this in case anyone has seen my knife around the web at all. Life slowed back down for a while so I'm going to resume my search efforts to track it down. Does anyone still happen to have a link to the eBay auction you could email to me? I had it before and cannot for the life of mg find the freaking email. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Wanted to bump this in case the new owner is on here. Or of anyone has seen the knife. I'm amazed that it hasn't been sent back to Busse yet? If you have any info, please let me know. Thanks.
