Wife was going through a box tucked in our closet yesterday labeled misc. Junk and opened it up and low and behold a brand new strider smf in cpm154 was sitting there. Now some of you know i was a strider nut at one point( not gonna beat a dead horse here) , but i sold off all my striders and guess I bought this one same time as the new house so i been thinking lets play with this thing.

I haft to give credit where due and the SMF IMO is a bad ass blade , IMO stronger than my hinderer but I dunno.

Anyway guys I need ideas , I dont have youtube , but heres what I wanna do, a member requests me to do something with this( un modded strider SMF, that was taken down and lubed and reassmbled corretly by me just in case ya know.) What do you want to see it do, ill make a video and if we can post it without youtube tell me how.

Few things, Im not going to intentionally destroy a brand new 500 knife, meaning I wont shoot it, or put it in a fire , or take a power tool to it. These knives are supposed to be for extreme abuse by soldiers and the likes so lets extremely abuse it. Just guve me an idea and how i can post the vid and lets get it started, ill post lockup pics now, as shes in hwr break in, and after, I cut some things with it yesterday so its not hair popping so I may touch it up on the UF stone only , so all you guys who love or hatebthese knives and gyys who own them but arrle scared to thrash them , lets do the damn thing! Again nothing to intentionally break the knife like shooting it , taking a blow torch to it , you know , Im open to any test you guys may have , if i have the materials , if i dont ill use next best thing. Now lets do the damn thing

Already did it a few years ago....

All that happened to it was it started to rattle, but the lock never failed even after 50 overhead spine whacks.... And that was after I beat the crap out of it causing it to rattle....

Sent it to Strider and got it back like new....

You really aren't going to hurt it unless you try and break it on purpose.....

Hey Jim i broke the tip off a db in 3v and an smf tanto, I know the lock probably wont fail, but hey i didnt even know i had it and sometimes i just wanna tear some stuff up. I dont really wanna do spinewhacks either has it has no purpose what so ever in a knife

Completely shave off the sheath of 50 feet of 15kv epr conductor.

They are designed extremely well, one of the best models on the market IMO .... Folders that can really take a beating and are still light enough to carry...

how about reproducing some Cold Steel type testing? Stab through a car hood (or at least a metal chair), chop a 2x4, and of course put the blade in a vice and hang weights off the handle to test the lock. I believe CS got up to something like 300 lbs with their Recon. Oh, and stab and cut big hunks of hanging meat!

He isn't looking to intentionally break the knife...

All but the weigh hanging tests have already been done before a number of times over the years...

Looking for kevlar gloves and ill cut a tire, ill haft to see what else i have... ill put it through a computer monitor...but pics only i guess

Unless you've got money to burn why not put it on the exchange?

Not that extreme I know but I hate to see a good knife wasted. Think of all the anodized pieces you could buy for your Hindererer!!!

God forgive me , but i like the smf better than the hinderer, which I dont carry, im not trying to break the knife but if it does break its cool i was testing it .

I've heard guys mention hammering a knife through a steel bolt. Not sure if you'd be willing to go that far, but that's something I'd sure like to see.
