Take both the Endura and the Old timer .

One clipped and the other inside your pocket

That is precisely what I would do. If you had a SAK, I would say SAK in the pocket and Endura clipped. Pretty much the way I go day to day, just not with an Endura.

I decided against taking the old timer in pocket just because I really dislike anything too bulky in my pocket. I should be fine with just the Endura. Especially with hiking I'd rather have something flat and clipped rather than round and bouncing around.
