Help me find a knife like this ...

camillus heat, crkt m-16, pretty much anything with a finger flipper.
Oh yes, I forgot about those. I never really got into flippers, although my wife has one, I hardly ever see it. Out of site out of mind I guess. I'm more of a slippy guy myself, so whenever I think of a pocket knife, I picture a slippy. Now that I think of it, I think there are even a couple of slip joints that have guards?

Try the Frosts Mora #680 or #780 from Ragweed Forge. Great prices and they both have guards.

Dan makes great knives.

If one wanted a so-called "Scandi" grind on a Bark River knife, Mike would make one for you out of any model Barkie. He would not regard it as an improvement, but it would be easy to accomplish. I am sure other makers would be willing to do the same.

For than matter, you and a diamond sharpener can turn and saber/flat knife into a "Scandi." Just lay the large bevel flat on the sharpened and grind away until there is no secondary (AKA "final") bevel.

Most knives made by Scandinavian makers, including custom makers, do not come with a "Scandi" grind (saber/flat/no secondary bevel). Scandinavian custom makers have communicated this on European forums and explained why, but they are largely disregarded by "Scandi" fans. These fans also try to explain away the secondary bevel on Scandinavian knives as "only" a "micro bevel." Yup.

ED: The Boy Scout version of a sheath knife in Scndinavian countries comes with a sheet steel double guard. This model is current in several manufacturer's lines.

Clearly you know more than I about this topic Mr. Linton, so I say this knowing I may be 100% wrong, but it is my understanding after a brief search, that Poul Strande, Roselli, Iisakki Jarvenpaa, Brusletto, Haugrud, EKA, Granssloyd, and Frosts I believe all make knives with a "scandi" grind. If I am wrong please let me know. I am not advocating a "scandi" over others, just asking if these knives are in fact made with that particular grind?

I own knives by Helle, Brusletto, Stromeng, Iisakki, Mora, Frosts, Roselli, Marimaa, Hackmann, Marttiini, Lapin, Falkniven, and Trond Peterson, among others. Usually more than one from each maker. I looked. One came without a secondary bevel - a Helle or a red-handled Frosts. (I can't tell anymore 'cause I convex edge every user I acquire.)

The apparent problem may be no more than this: the UK " bushcrafters' " difinition of a "Scandi" grind as a "zero-edge"/no secondary bevel knife differs from that of those making knives in Scandinavia. The makers apparently believe a "Scandi" knife includes knives with a secondary bevel.

How big a knife? My search headed briefly from my hollow-ground/secondary bevel Buck 192 Vanguards with their great hand-fit towards the straight ground, with a minor secondary bevel, Benchmade 201 'Activator +', of D2 steel. I also tried my first B R K&T - a black Micarta Huntsman - which arrived Christmas Eve. I ordered a B R "GamesKeeper" and "Fox River" last Thursday - they arrived Saturday. I ordered a limited "North Star" and "T.U.S.K." yesterday... I am out of control!

Seriously, Bark River knives are nice - and come totally convex ground - shaving sharp. But, they are like Doritos - one won't suffice! In all honesty, the BM 201 would have been a welcome improvement as my woods-walker, aka pseudo-'bushcraft' knife. The 'Huntsman' lacks in size, perhaps, but has the finger guard - and super sharp A2 steel. Here are my candidates before I ordered the additional four B R knives:

They are the B R 'Huntsman' ($118 inc s/h), Benchmade 201 Activator+ ($82 inc s/h), and Buck 192 (~$65 w s/h - or ~$100 inc s/h as AG192 in S30V)

I recently got a WET FORCE RECON knife from BRKT. It is 12c27 so it is stainless, not carbon steel and it is a convex grind not scandi. So it really is not what you asked for, but its handle is designed to be self guard style and the blade shape is similar to a scandi shape.
The knfe is similar to an Aurora, exept the handle has a fairly large swell at the blade which creates a "self guard". Mike has said that this knife will not be made again. It will be replaced by the stainless Bravo-1. I have seen a few left at various dealers.
Since Mike does most of his knives as full convex, BRKT is probably not going to have too many scandi grind knives.
