Help me find a specific barlow

I believe there are still some of the brown saw-cut bone ones still available with a spear blade if that tickles your fancy.

I was just looking at that and than popped back over here to see this lol..
Ya I don't mind the bone at all realy.. Just $30 over my budget :/

This one might be a bit smaller than you're looking for at 3" but it's close to your specs. GEC's "Little Jack". Although it's only 3", it feels bigger in your hand because of its design. It's below $100.00 and is an excellent knife. You can also choose a specific knife (Black Camel Bone Only). KSF (Knives Ship Free) lists them as separate items so you can choose the handles you like.

Pics from the KSF website.

There has to be some kind of pivot bushing in the AGR it's one of the smoothest opening traditionals I've ever tried out.

There are also blue camel bone everyday's available. I had picked one up a few weeks ago to try out.

I really like those EDB's too. Here's mine.

They are rather handsome and in CPM!

So are the AGR's I sent this one off a while back to a BF member in a GAW.

How about an A.G. Russell Medium Lockback Barlow?[/URL]

I did a little review on mine back during the summer.

I'll second that! I really like my AG Russell Medium Lockback Barlow.

This place is THE WORST for my wallet. :grumpy:

In the way of an update,.. Thanks to the review done by, and linked by -btmccutcheon- I ordered a Russell med lock back in black. Still on the quest for my org specs but will probably end up breaking the price cap on a Northwoods everyday in maple if I can ever find one.

I was hoping I could also get some opinions on queen workhorse barlows?, search isn't coming up with much. Thought maybe I should have a clip blade as well.

they are true to the name. i put one up as one of the three knives im giving away on the GAW thread for donations for bob bigbiscuit started by Randy. i edced it for a day or two, but decided it wasnt for me. its plastic delrin scales, 1095 blade. very functional, and a true workhorse.

Thanks for the info, I think I would like it, but I've also come to realize that Im kind of looking for something a bit dressy.. That would feel right with a suit and tie.

take a look at a grade higher, Queen's Schatt and Morgan's barlows are a bit nicer. some in stag, blue bone with MoP, Cocobolo, buffalo horn for the regular Queen barlow line and the winterbottom bone

Ah. Dressy, hm? The AG Russell Barlow works well with a tie, but if you want dressy AND character I have to agree with Mrknife on the S&M Winterbottom Barlow.
