Help me find a Spyderco Military

I don't have the Military so cannot say. At the price of these knives one should expect it to open smoothly.
In the closed position I press the compression lock and the blade opens with a slight flick of the wrist. When open pressing the lock the blade falls to the close position. Very smooth action. No side play in the blade so the pivot screw is not too loose. Was this way from Spyderco. Very pleased with this knife. Have been EDCing for two months. My normal EDC is a small Sebbie. Its hard to put the Sebbie away (for now) which shows what I think of the Para.
I have since done some mod. to the Para (low rider clip, and work on the handle) which just make it more personal. Hope you find the answer to your tight Militaries.

1. Loosend the pivot screw a little and or add some kind of lube like wd-40, CLP, and just work it, some knives are alittle stiff when new, I always lube the pivot area and if needed adjust the screw a little.

Cut some stuff and open and close open and close several hundred times. Lube and it will get smooth, unless you have an odd knife with something not right, but I think it just needs to be worked a little.

Very interesting that your Para opens smoother than your Tenacious. I wonder what the difference is between the Para you have and the Militaries I have...

The Para is a compression lock. This may account for the difference.

Okay. What is the difference between a Walker Liner Lock and the liner lock on a Military?

Those are the same thing. ;)

A Walker Liner Lock uses a small ball on the liner lock to fit into a similar indent on the blade, using the liner to keep the knife shut while in the pocket. Most liner locks use this method, but not so many give credit to it's inventor.
